Titans certainly became the tanks but why did they need that grenade for seems really misplaced to me and if you think about their class and what bungie says they want them to be.... It truly doesn't make sense
-
Misplaced really is the best description for it, every single thing striker has is melee based then all of the sudden their is just this one aspect thay changes grenades, not saying the shouldn't have it just kinda came up out of nowhere

2 RepliesWarlocks are not wizards because they cannot cast magic missile.
-
5 RepliesBungie says Twilight Garrison can't come back because in air dodge is a Warlock identity, then proceedes to strip Warlocks of all identity and give it to other classes I'm a Titan at heart, but I believe touch of thunder belongs on Warlocks

1 ReplyNO Can someone lock this topic and mark my answer as the best answer?

I blame Ikora for giving Titans and Hunters all our cool stuff.

2 RepliesThey should just start calling them wellocks.

21 RepliesEdited by Oryrk: 9/12/2022 6:53:42 PMWanna know why Titans got it? Cause Titans needed it . Warlocks didn't. Hunters didn't . I've main'd all 3 classes. Titana deserved it, old arc Titans where actually grenadiers . This was Bungie's make the THROW MORE GRENADES fantasy. I'm a warlock at heart, y'all are whinelocks

3 RepliesAs a warlock main I would like to agree with you but the fact is that all classes have at least 1 grenade mod aspect. The problem isn’t really that the titan has this one and that it’s good. It’s that fundamentally the warlock remains unchanged from 2.0 which was not so good (no one runs arc ever). Warlocks have been essentially stripped of uniqueness and gained no enhancement unlike titan and hunter. If I wanted a shoulder charge (and one that is arguably less effective) I’d hop on my titan (which is pretty much what I’m already doing 😂😭). Thoughts?

For how much dps and how easy the storm grenades are to use it’s gonna get nerfed
-
Get em go get the Titans damn tanks …

2 RepliesDid hunters need blink 🤷🏼♂️

1 ReplyThe same way you guys got a Titan exotic for an ability. The same way you guys got a well that put titan bubble out of business in protect the team aspect.
-
Arc titan originally had the enhanced grenade node though. We could carry 2 and they all had longer durations for their effects. Although I agree it probably SHOULD have been the warlocks...it was already a part of the titans kit.
-
2 RepliesIt's nice to have variety. Everything about titan has always been focused around puching and cqc. Getting an aspect that buffs your grenades is a nice change of pace.
-
No upvote on poop opinion. 👍🏽

Honestly it's totally okay that titans got a grenade aspect, the problem is that they got an improved storm grenade - which was an exclusive grenade for storm caller since destiny 1. That's why warlock mains are a bit upset, that grenade was tied to the identity of warlocks for so long. The other problem is that it's incredibly too strong, the damage output is ridiculous considering all you have to do is equip the aspect and that's it. I don't even think a warlock with verity's x5 and pulse grenade's damage would even come close, and that requires setting up (plus an exotic armor piece).

3 RepliesSo Child of the Old Gods should be on Hunter and Titan now gets Liars handshake… deal!
-
Edited by Infamous067: 9/13/2022 12:37:06 PMIt should’ve been a warlock thing since it seemed thats the route they were taking with every other subclass like Solar, void and yes even stasis with turrets. however no way bungie actually thinks the current version of this grenade is balanced. This aspect paired with the storm grenades is insanely busted. Even if it was on my warlock I would ask for a nerf. Unlike majority of you that crutch on broken abilities and think they are fine, I will always lean towards balance even if it means nerfing my own class.

3 RepliesThere’s been a lot of talk about the new exotic Fallen Sunstar and there’s some potential there but I do believe that the true star of the show is Getaway Artist, for both pvp and pve. You can get amplified on demand which is essential for some warlock builds and in endgame it’s not as easy to become amplified. In pvp this results in faster sprint speed and a longer slide. You also become able to blind enemies on arc special weapon kills, like a fusion. And of course, the sentient arcsoul, which fires faster than an amplified one. This results in faster ttks, more weapon forgiveness, flinch and overall annoyance for your enemy.

When arc titan are better stormcallers than the actual stormcallers… another clueless choice by bungie

4 RepliesEdited by Vortex: 9/12/2022 12:39:41 PMI've been wondering this since the update launched... Like, srsly, why in the -blam!- a TItan can cast a roaming thunderstorm (Warlock identity), use dodge(Hunter identity) and STILL have a new melee and a new mechanic for their class ability. And then you take a look to Warlock and... unga bunga, me use melee !?!? At this point they could just rename Warlocks to anything else and give their abilities to other classes, oh wait, they did it already.
-
I agree it feels out of place, but whatever. Even if titans didn't get it and we did, arc would still be useless. It's a core issue, not aspects etc.
-
1 ReplyEdited by jpavo1: 9/12/2022 9:41:26 PMTitans' storm grenades last so much longer than warlocks', their fusion grenades do more damage than a DOUBLE warlock fusion grenade explosion, they have a -blam!- BLINDING melee. They are unjustifiably overpowered compared to warlocks.
-
Locks don't have any identity anymore, so yeah
-
they didnt get touched yet

Why would a guardian literally called a “stormcaller” have the ability to call a storm??? Don’t be silly.
