My 50 cents on the Divinity discussion.

Hi there all. I want to have my piece on the big ol 'Divinity Needs a Nerf' being discussed recently. Firstly, i'm part of Camp Div -blam!- so my overall stance is that Bungo shouldn't touch Divinity until there's a resounding roar from 99% of the PvE crowd tells Bungie to nerf Divinity, which is as likely as seeing them add toggle options for auto-dismantling blue items. Secondly, Saltagreppo (man behind the tweet discussing Divinity Nerf ideas) is a Day 1 World's First raid mastermind and is thus part of the pinnacle echelon of PvE players. His discussion focuses on how Divinity makes dps-ing bosses boring and mundane but isn't the end goal to kill the boss as quickly as you can? In addition, this man has used Divinity or that his King's Fall World first clear had a Div madladd in play during Oryx. Soooo, this top class players DEMANDS Divinity be nerfed because it's made endgame PvE too ez or that it shuts out other buildcrafting ideas for maximising dps (a fair point btw) but he literally won his King's Fall World First with a Divinity active. I'd like to see his reaction when Bungo to takes the title from them and gives it to 2nd place instead. Thirdly, my main counter argument to Salt's discussion is split into 2 points: 1) If you hate using Divinity, stop using Divinity. Also, if your friends use it, tell THEM to stop using it too. Salt should also set an example to us dust eaters at the bottom of the PvE food chain by defeating GM strike bosses, Raid bosses with contest mode active and Overload champions on Master & Grandmaster difficulty all without using Divinity. I wanna see how he can pull off no Divinity till Lightfall drops. 2) Divinity is earned from GoS by doing a sweat-bucket, rage-inducing step to do every puzzle I the raid + open Final chest in a single, uninterrupted run. Divinity has also not broken the game like Telesto, Lord of Wolves, Anarchy, Eyes of Tomorrow, Jotunn, hell even the high-impact heavy GL's that did like 700x more damage than normal. Why nerf a gun that is HARD to acquire already and performs exactly as intended since GoS dropped? To conclude, I understand what Saltagreppo is getting at: Divinity has potentially become the new "own it or get kicked from the raid/activity" weapon that Gjally was in D1 as well as making endgame PvE content harder. But as I've said before, NO ONE is forcing people who HATE Divinity to use it. It's as simple as saying that if you don't want to eat your vegetables, then you gotta deal with the immediate consequences of not consuming your necessary nutrients & minerals. And also, I'd rather be called as toxic as Chernobyl 5 times over if it means Divinity isn't nerfed. Aztecross (my fav D2 YouTuber) made a very interesting point to not nerf Divinity but increase the base crit multiplier on most ranged weapons so that if you don't wanna use Div in a GM NF, at least you can skadoodle the Overload Champion to death. Sorry for the long ramble but I'm just sick and tired of the elites (AND THEY ARE THE ELITES WHEN YOU DO WORLD'SFIRST 3 TIMES IN A DAY 1 RAID RACE) thinking that their opinions are what define the opinions of us farther down the chain but in actual fact, this time around, that's not the case. Camp Div -blam!- all the way, Aiat!!

It's really not bad. It's just some side quest crap and then you have to do the raid once with some extra puzzles. If you somehow manage to struggle with the puzzles just lookup how to do them.
