They could make this game so much better… The game just feels like a list of chores…

I think this game is a freaking master piece of gaming goodness. I took a couple of years off and came back around the start of last season and oh my goodness how the game has changed. It's so much better now. No game will ever be perfect for all people but for this 58 year old fat grandpa who started gaming on a Pong back in the late 70s this game has given me some of the greatest gaming experiences of my entire life.

Good for you, I'm to a point I really hate the game. 3.0 reworks are trash in general the only cool thing are the new AoE elements like volatile rounds, incandescent and now jolt. Sunsetting happened and I'm still upset about that, the game doesn't have matchmaking for any of the cool stuff and unique subclasses no longer exist The only thing they do each season is nerf and buff certain weapons so we have to switch playstyles every time to adjust to the new meta The only real endgame is grinding lightlevel which is meaningless and pointless, you can and will do GM's mostly underleveled and even doing GM's or raids is basically pointless You may really like the new raid scout rifle but a 180 blue scout rifle does exactly the same thing in a GM, you don't need any gear from endgame activities at all The entire endgame is basically neckbeards showing off unique items, there's no actual gameplay value in having an adept weapon. Oh, it has 3 more handling than the standard version. Big whoop If Bungie had actual matchmaking for all activities and Adept weapons actually did 10% more damage than their legendary standard versions this game would flourish. But no, it's all about equality, and balance Also where the hell is Cayde 7, where the hell is a decent storyline involving the traveler? It's all just BS and Lightfall is gonna be a skinny googly eyed dude dying in a raid So yeah good for you, I've been waiting for a semi decent game to come out but the entire, or almost the entire, gaming industry has been a snoozefest since Covid began. Weak content, even PoE is on the decline. Weak content, weak follow up games like Far Cry 6. “I only play the crucible part of Destiny” Is all I read. My dude Destiny doesn’t even have a base campaign. ZERO missions for Free Players. And it’s a Free to Play game. No other FTP is missing this much content for free and new players. Destiny is literally an echo chamber of sad old Destiny players.

Honestly, I started maiming Warlock the start of WQ and I love it. I seem to live a lot longer in pve. Stylish moves, decent build potential. It kinda breathed new life in the game for me.

Each Stasis, Void, Solar and Arc update they have focused on making Hunter boosted in PvE and PvP. No new players should ever NOT choose Hunter now. If you have friends just starting, you need to guide them to play Hunter first and foremost. It's just a pity they've wrecked the rest of the game for others.

I know it’s hard for some players to find joy in the game lately because of the kind of content Bungie has been releasing for the past couple of seasons. I for one have always liked destiny, and I’ve always thought it’s been a pretty solid game. Yeah sure it has highs and lows, but ultimately it still is a decent game to me. I’ve always found something to enjoy about the game, even when there has been content droughts such as back when only expansions were released. It can be something PvE or PvP, I always find something to do. And if I don’t, well I just head into a different game until something interesting comes up in destiny.

Can I ask how long you have been playing?

Huh? They made a push for new players and offered them nothing to kickstart them. Shards, prisms etc. the costs to upgrade make no sense to a new player

The game is in a terrible state and bungie doesn’t deserve your compliments. But I am glad someone is is enjoying the game man. I’m jealous of your optimism.

The game is brilliant and I enjoy playing it regularly. There will always be things that need attention in a massive game with so many different activities. Those who are constantly negative about the game should take a break. Paying to play something that makes you miserable isn’t a smart thing to do.
