SBMM Makes Crucible Unfun for its Primary Audience
Games are painfully laggy, sweaty, and difficult. I feel punished for being semi good at the game.
People who play a lot of crucible are good at crucible. People who play 3 games a week who piss and moan about lobby balancing are not.
Bungie appeases the ladder group at the expense of the former. Why? Survival: skill based. Quickplay: connection based. Instead of tanking quickplay fix survival. How about that?

It's main audience became it's main audience because their behavior drove everyone else out of half of the game. Facts. Now they can all enjoy each others company. I know no one misses them in their lobbies.

CBMM makes the casuals and average players suffer but rewards the dedicated with easy matches. SBMM does not reward anyone. Everybody gets punished. The reason it is much more horrid for dedicated players is due to how players exploited the system versus playing casually. Now lets say CBMM, stayed in the game, eventually those casual and average players would leave which would leave only the dedicated players. This would force a natural state of SBMM with better connection due to CBMM. Bungie cannot fix connection due to being on a hybrid server versus a dedicated one. So the best course of action is to make everybody suffer. The casual and average players may be having fun now but the more they play, the more difficult the games will become and as that is happening, the more experienced audience will start to experience better matches in time. It may not be on the same level as CBMM gave them but it will be much better than the current state that is happening. Right now, SBMM is weeding players out. It is basically resetting and growing stats at the same time. However, COMP not being updated is one of the many reason players are frustrated as well.

As correct as your post may be, you won’t find much sympathy on these forums unfortunately. It’s a cesspool of bad opinions and bad players, and it’s gotten worse this season.
