I think it would make this ability feel far more dynamic if you could charge and release this ability while airborne, similar to how Doomfist works in Overwatch.
This would allow for a lot of interesting plays especially in Crucible

I don’t think activation while airborn is something they’d do, but I’d certainly love to see it activate with a slide since being amplified buffs slides. It could basically just start to wind up and your slide would slow down so you’d be skidding while charging it. Idk, sounds kinda fun tho lol

1 ReplyBungie has stated that it's supposed to be the way it is.

6 RepliesNo. That would make it borderline OP. Titanskate around corner while charging melee into teamwipe. Thats like saying make tempest strike 5x as wide and make it 1 shot in PvP levels of broken.

1 ReplyHell no You're supposed to be stationary while charging. That's the tradeoff

Yesn’t

Edited by hate n payne: 9/4/2022 1:33:55 PMShould have been an consumption style melee. You consume your melee and use it as a destructive force when needed. Any charging mechanic needs to be fast and instant while consumption simply needs to be quick in consuming but devastating in use.

3 RepliesYou already have this, its called ballistic slam if memory serves. You know, the thing where you jump into the air and dive down doing heavy damage? Also no, if titans can dodge mid air then they better get that to hunters as well cause with titans getting out class ability we should get theirs.

1 ReplyI would love for the Titan dodge to work while airborne too

I think the ability would feel much better, but I don’t think it would be balanced.

4 RepliesThe problem with thunderclap is that it freezes you for a second when charging the melee without any options to readjust the direction of the energy release if needed… crucible is very dynamic with players have great mobility options with evasive moves… so… this current version of thunderclap is very MEDIOCRE when you play anyone who knows how to move… Yes it can work, but there will be lots of situations that you’ll completely waste the attack only because you were not able to readjust the direction while charging the melee… In higher skill lobbies… thunderclap is utterly USELESS.
