Ruffians in Expeditions

Hey In my experience in the expedition playlist, the ruffians spawn at the end of a treasure step and despawn when the last treasure engram is collected. So most of the times they despawn before the heads-up telling you they have spawned. So my suggestion is to make the ruffian stay after the treasure step or spawn earlier so the team have time to react and not accidently clear the step. Also with the amount of treasure engrams ruffians are really useless.

  • We almost need a "no cheese" playlist for activities at this point because people can't just play things as intended.

    They need to be more obvious In a giant “holy fudge” kinda way 2-3 times the size, arrive with a fanfare and be challenging enough to beat that no single guardian can nuke them without the other two in the fireteam getting shots on (thus getting progress for the fireteam) Oh and stop the orb glitch that is breaking the spawning of the [i]Ruffians[/i] in the first place

    • A lot of cheating / exploitation going on with this event where in players somehow spam the treasure ball…making it impossible to kill a Ruffian. Disruptive as can be.

      • I didn't know these were even a thing until I saw one this morning, and that's after a ton of Expeditions the past week. Bungie probably should have made killing them necessary to proceed or something.

        U get one at around 75 to 80% of the first part and a rng chance to get the 2nd one to spawn either between the 1st and 2nd encounter or after the 2nd encounter.. doing this with random bots is almost impossible and also the one who cheeses the engrams and keeps throwing them giving you no chance at all

          • If you're on PlayStation you can still manipulate you system date and drop in solo. You can have all the balls, jammers and ruffians to your self, not to mention bounties!

            • I'm with you, especially since we're gonna have to kill like 50 of them. Its bad enough the activity gives poop rewards and 3 measly umbral energy. 3!

            • As a solo, I have 14 after 50 completions. I'm hoping the other locations are better, or Bungie changes it. 179 runs (on current run rates) to complete the triumph seems a bit extreme to me.

              • Same so difficult to focus on them when alone with randoms, someone either exploits it or no one notices Ruffian appear as literally too late. Suggestions would help this massively, only solution is to focus it with fireteam :(

                  • I noticed this too. Its even worse if you have someone doing the throw exploit to constantly throw the same treasure and each one count, making the progress go up faster.

                  • They need to spawn way earlier. They seem to spawn at 91%, or what have you, on the regular.
