As the title says ever since the background maintenance some time around june 10th this has been happening to me and no matter what i did it wouldnt stop.
Before the:
“Its a connection based problem, so its yours.”
“Fix your internet”
“Bungie’s servers arent bad its your internet”
“Do the portfowarding process”
“Go wired then”
Type people says something heres what i did and how things are:
I have spectrum, wired connection, with being portforwarded.
I talked to a spectrum employee who to my luck was a gamer and had me ‘Power cycle’ my router.
I went into my playstation’s safe mode and cleared cache and rebuilt its database.
I changed my Primary and secondary DNS
Other online games with the exception of COD cold war work fine. (COD behaves similarly to the problem i have with destiny)

Look I LOVE THIS GAME. And with Lightfall coming out and this is going on, it’ll definitely ruin the experience, it already destroyed my team’s day 1 kings fall experience. If this keeps up i want a refund on lightfall pre-order. Unless there is a way to permanently fix this that is.

Same problem, I boot the game up, select a character and within 5 minutes I get a Baboon error code and then a Weasel code. Only started happening at the beginning of the season so hopefully Bu gie can fix this

Try restarting ur internet checking ur internet chip and see if that solves it

I originally posted on June 3rd with this issue and have been having issues ever since. Reintstalled the game, nothing works. Destiny is the only game with this issue. I am not pre-ordering Lightfall until it's fixed.

I'm hardwired, ISP is Comcast, I've done every, single thing in every documented "help" guide.... I've tried port forwarding with a static IP on my PC, I've tried full UPnP, I've tried placing my PC in the DMZ, I've opened traffic on the firewall... nothing ameliorates this on my end. I've had this issue consistently since Solstice. I was unable to even participate in Solstice because of it, couldn't get past Totems in King's Fall without getting dropped, couldn't finish a Nightfall without getting dropped, Crucible, Gambit, etc... it has completely ruined my Destiny experience and it is my favorite game. No other game, no other service has any issue. Only D2. Very, very frustrating and I still haven't seen Bungie reply to or even attempt to get involved on this. I am extremely willing to work with Bungie directly... I'll give them remote control, I'll install WireShark and run every blasted test and submit every blasted log they ask for...

I am having the same issue, like you spectrum made a static IP and port wired etc. I’ve done everything imaginable NAT type etc EVERYTHING I don’t know what to do no other games have issues if it is a destiny problem nobody typically believes it’s destiny and I’m glad not alone in this because I’ve been having these issues since like July before solstice. If this is fixable please help.
