I am on PS5 and all of a sudden I get kicked out the game with the "pardon our dust" message. This was 2 hours ago (7 am PDT) and I am still getting the mesage.
I can log on to my sons account on the same PS5 and it works fine. I try to log into my account on another PS5 and I get the "pardon our dust" message and get kicked again.
This is specific to my account....please help, trying to do raid today...

This is happening to me too. I have uninstalled the game and done everything trying to figure this out but nothing is working. Does anyone have solutions yet?

Unfortunately same issue is occurring for me. I'm on steam and tried the waiting 5-10 min on the character screen with no success :( I hope tomorrows hotfix corrects this issue for us all!

Probably an issue on bungies side that they will fix soon hopefully

Had this error for over an hour. Is there a definite solution to this or do people just wait it out and it just rectifies itself eventually?

1 ReplySame error here. Now it's also saying "Contacting Destiny 2 Servers" and then telling me it failed to contact Destiny 2 Characters Servers. I'm also not getting any game history on my Bungie profile. Says "This Steam account does not have any characters".

I have the same issue on PS5. - I had tried multiple networks - I had reset my network to default multiple times - I had reinstalled D2 - I had clean cache - I had rebuild my database - I had restore licences nothing works Please help.

On PC I get the same thing. Logged in last night OK, now today can't get in at all.

Exact same issue since this morning. Changed my DNS, cleared my PS5 cache, and re-installed. Absolutely no help from Bungie Help or even mention of it anywhere. So frustrating…

After selecting a character from the character selection menu, a pardon our dust message pops up and kicks me back to splash screen. I was playing all day yesterday and early morning today. I've verified my game files on steam. I've tried using VPN to different regions to log in. Edit: The issue resolved itself after I selected an east coast region for my VPN. I then turned off my VPN and then logged back in to my normal region (Seattle location). Not sure if the issue was region specific or not.

Same issue and I have tried everything. Looks like we are the unlucky few that wont get to enjoy the Raid this weekend.

I've been having that same problem since 8 am est today. I uninstalled did the verification tried on my ps4 and even downloaded it and tried it on epic store. changed dns tried in on cell network and still nothing.

3 RepliesTHIS SHOULD FIX YOUR ISSUE! Was Having the same problem all day. Tried everything including deleting game and re-installing, nothing worked. Then I remembered the "FIRST" thing you should always do with game login issues. "RESTORE LICENCES". On PS5 go to Users and Accounts/Other/Restore Licenses

Same here, I keep getting a message saying "servers will begin maintenance momentarily".

Same here on Steam. Finished dayone and go to sleep. Wake up and got pardon every time get to orbit since then.

I also saw in various posts from a year ago (seemed to be a similar problem) where people would wait 1-2 minutes on the character selection screen before selecting and it took care of the problem as well. Hope this helps!
