I haven't had a chance to really dive into Crucible yet - I played one game on Tuesday but apparently SBMM wasn't active then so I have no experience with the new matching.
Is it the savior of the crucible as everyone was cheering for?
From the people I have spoken with, people with High and Low k/ds - the lobbies have been really bad. Things I've heard but I cannot confirm personally
- Extremely laggy lobbies and playing cross continent players
- With first point - hit detection is miserable
- People backing out left and right now
- Que times, especially for the higher tier player, are running from 5-10 mins
- Still massively unbalanced lobbies
- Higher tier players can't solo que has it's mainly 6 stacks
- Lower tier players can't play with their higher tier friends because the lobbies are nuclear violent for them in the higher tier lobby's.
I know it's basically day 3 of the new Season and that's a lot of stress on the engine with all the downloading and spike in player base but a lot of what I'm hearing is what I was afraid of when SBMM was announced. These are the exact same problems we've seen 3-4 in the past when SBMM has been entered and it doesnt' really get corrected - resulting in PvP population dropping significantly.
Which in turn, causes Bungie to put CBMM back in.
Thoughts?

8 RepliesPeople with 1+kds that wanted sbmm aren't having a fun time. 0.7-0.9s are all here happy farming 0.0-0.5kds all day. And 0.0-0.5kds are still getting farmed. 2kd+ you get hard lobby balenced every other game to be forced to lose. The lags not bad yet but after IB next week it will actually be unplayable. But the 0.7s-0.9s will ignore the lag because they are farming 0.3s all day and say theirs no lag because they are stomping instead of getting stomped every game.
