CE-34878-0 error code on PS4 could be caused by Lightfall preorder

So i play D2 on base Ps4 and have for many years now. i do know that this error has happened on other platforms as well, but the reason im making this post is to say that i have tried pretty much all the workarounds of this and nothing has worked. even tried rebuilding the database and that didn't do anything either. this issue is only for D2 on my console, any other game works fine with little to no issue. (putting this in here, the code i put in the title is a console error, but i have tried all the workarounds recommended. destiny 2 was running just fine last week before the new season and before i preordered the new expansion. in the update section of this post is a link to a post where the OP had similar issues and nothing worked except for canceling and refunding his preorder. other people tried it out as well and it worked. so this doesn't seem to be a issue on sonys end, but on the server side of Bungie potentially.) at first, i was a bit mad (considering that at this point, should expect the first week of a new season to be quite buggy), now i'm just gonna wait for Bungie to fix this. could take a week, maybe two, but i do think that it wouldn't be that bad for future seasons if they get a slight delay or bit more testing. I'm not a game developer or tech expert, but i do think when stuff like this happens, a delay or heads up would go a long way. i do know that it has only been 2 days since the new season started and that the dev team is going about trying to fix the bugs, so in the mean time, i'll just play some other games until this issue is fixed. for those who wonder how far i can get into the game before it crashes, it doesn't get to the character selection screen before it crashes. hopefully this is something that will be a priority fix where it wont take too long for a hotfix. i guess until next time guardians, have a good one. update: so someone gave asked me about preordering lightfall and linked me to a post talking about the same issues. turns out, after this person and other canceled and refunded their preorders, they had no problem getting logging into the game. so the problem could have something to do on that and Bungie has yet to address it. hopefully, if this has happened to anyone else, if you had problems after preordering the new expansion, try to get a refund and see if that fixes it. the more it gets talked about, the more traction it gets and therefore it could hopefully lead to bungie addressing it. Won't hold my breath tho as unless this gets picked up by a well known destiny content creator, community manager or blows up on forums like here, reddit or twitter, it could be some time before it gets noticed and fixed. the best thing i can do right now as i don't want to bother with the hassle of canceling my preorder and get a refund, I will just have to wait for bungie to address this on their end. btw, this is the link where i learned more about this issue, provided by @OniDarkClown: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/261598520/0/0
