Why does an instant super do more damage than a prolonged damage super. Stormtrance is already an ad clear super, it needs a super that can actually do damage.
-
1 ReplyWhat I’m taking away from all this is that Warlocks need a super exotic for Chaos Reach to make it actually appealing. Much like how Thundercrash was pre-Curaiss. The solution isn’t to nerf Thundercrash, or buff Chaos Reach. And the amount of people I’m seeing that are turning this into “stay mad (class that isn’t Titan)” or “You’re a Hunter/Warlock and you has a bug that made you busted about 6 months to a year ago, it’s not your time to shine”. Is -blam!- baffling. This is why classes are never balanced, it’s because people are too selfish to let one class have anything over the rest, so Bungie either ignores or nerfs it. Happened to every class, it’s a cycle, and it ruins any reasonable discussion that could take place.

Why does an instant super do more damage than a prolonged damage super. Stormtrance is already an ad clear super, it needs a super that can actually do damage.
Because chaos reach doesn’t put the user in any form of risk or danger. Chaos reach has a much easier ease of use and skill floor. Same thing applies to Nova bomb That’s why.

you literally answered your own question
-
9 RepliesYes there is… you have to get so close to a mob you can smell his -blam!-. Chaos you stand back. Bout sick of warlocks crying 24/7……
-
Yes there is. Titans are cooler.
-
Titan go BRRRRR
-
Because it’s a one and done. Also because they turn their body into a missile. Chaos reach (with the right exotic) can be canceled to save energy, and it’s sticks around as a beam for a while.
-
2 RepliesFive words for you, cry baby Warlock main; Cuirass of the Falling Star. Another simple answer is that you chose wrong in characters and that you’re simply outmatched. You can’t expect to take on a Cuirass/thundercrash titan and win. Especially now that we also have a dodge maneuver and VARIOUS buffs to amp all playing fields. Essentially what I’m saying is, it’s now the age of the titan. About darn time too.

Team Thundercrash holla

T crash dosent need a nerf, chaos reach just needs a massive buff.

1 ReplyThe new hunter staff can do even more…

1 ReplyEdited by UnleashedArcher: 8/26/2022 7:34:41 PMRisk vs reward. Chaos reach doesn't have the threat of being stomped into oblivion.

The time it takes to bounce back into a safe position after a Tcrash, is probably just as long as Chaos Reach lasts. The super might last longer sure, but you don't have to waste time bouncing back into a safe position. Tcrash is wildly more risky. Maybe just don't jump 50 feet in the air first all the time?
-
35 RepliesThundercrash should be the highest damage super. It's more risky than any stand off super.
-
2 RepliesThundercrash shouldn’t need an exotic to be good. Cuirass should make it elite but it should be viable without it. I used cuirass all through duality last night and it felt weak. Neither should chaos reach. Hunters shouldn’t have the highest damaging super build in every single light subclass after 3.0. It’s frustrating. I’m glad Mobius quiver got buffed but Nova Bomb should be the best damaging super in void bar none. It’s literally the identity of the ability.
-
I mean celestial nighthawk/blade barrage does more damage. Why you gotta single out titans?
-
4 RepliesI am a Titan main and I agree. Chaos Reach should do as much damage as Thundercrash with Cuirass of Falling Star and Titans should need Cuirass of the Falling Star to get on the same damage as Chaos Reach. Chaos Reach needs MUCH more endgame utility.
-
Both supers have been nerfed , thunder crash just isn’t worth using for dps as it is .
-
1 ReplyBy your "logic" Hunter's instant blade barrage shouldn't do more damage than Thundercrash. Yet it's the highest DPS super in the game. point in case comparisions don't work in a game with space magic.
-
27 RepliesThundercrash is inherently more dangerous to use and you have to reposition to get back to a safe spot to deal damage. Chaos reach doesn’t have that same drawback.
-
Thundercrash is a massive 1 and done. I think meteoric damage justified why it's a monster dps super. Chaos reach just needs to buff and unerffed though I don't see that happening due to a mode nobody but the 1% wanted and only the 1% rule.
-
4 RepliesIt actually makes sense that it does. It’s high risk, high reward. You shot yourself like a missile at a target. If you miss, that’s your super use. If you are in a longer timed PvP match like Control, you likely only get to use your super once. If you have a beam that you can aim easier and control where it goes and what it hits, you probably do slightly less damage. It’s in this case less risk, less reward. This is of course just my opinion.

It's ranged, which makes it much more versatile raid wise, for instance thundercrash would be useless against warpriest because we have to stay within the aura to get the damage buff.

Because punching someone really hard does more damage than pointing at someone really long 👍

2 RepliesNot instant, requires we wear an exotic and put ourselves in melee range.
