First of all, I am playing Destiny since D1 and mainly played pvp since then.
But i never enjoyed PvP less than now.
Sbmm is the reason every game is sweaty af (in a casual playlist not competitive).
It also takes away playing fun loadouts, since u always compete with the "meta" weapons. This causes non meta weapons to be used even less. And u see only the same 10 weapons all the time.
Im not sure why but since sbmm ppl are also more likely to just leave a game in progress which then causes more blowout matches ontop.
Same for Trials.
- Trials with a capture zone plays awful, as soon as the enemy has a titan and a warlock zone is just lost doesnt matter what u do. I dont think trials needed changes except maybe some kind of anti camping mechanic. And no a capture zone doesnt fix tht problem as we learned.
- flawless pool is fine i guess, to make it a little more casual friendly, but since there is literally no reason to play in the Flawless pool (and lets be honest win farming in non flawless pool, and reseting before flawless is an issue) u might aswell get rid of it.
Right now it seems like Bungie is just listening to the guys tht cry the loudest, without thinking the step ahead what it does to the game/playerbase! To make it clear i think everybody has the right to have an opinion on the topic and should share it (as long as its a completed thought, and not just "sweats ruin pvp", weve heard enough of tht) but its also a game and u cant be good at everything. Thats how it is and always will be.
GGs
be kind :)

10 RepliesEdited by KaosSoulja: 8/26/2022 4:24:22 PMCry me a river ya poor little petal Casuals are the player base except for the 1%, for years Bungie has catered and caved into the self proclaimed elite now it’s time to try something new I couldn’t care less if the top players sweat it out match after match, you have the skill which you all profess at any given opportunity…so deal with it like the casual player base has had to for years. Getting stomped most matches isn’t fun and looks like you will eventually find out thanks to SBMM and yes we can get good but so will you now, let’s see how you like people throwing that in your face every time you complain.

1 ReplyIt’s a circle at this point.

94 RepliesI'm sorry. Zero respect for players who cry about having to face skill peers while asking everyone else to fight vastly superior opponents.
-
2 RepliesGame sweaty for you, because you play with people who have almost same skill as yourself (SBMM). Deal with it, no more stopping low skill payers. How every time, anyone PvP addicted person told everyone... gg.
-
Wait. Wasn't everybody hooting and hollering for skill-based?
-
8 RepliesOh, you can’t be good at everything because its ruining my fun, easy time? Try to disguise it any way you want but my statement is the truth. And honestly you folks need to adjust to it because, like it or not, without players you won’t be playing this game and a lot of players want fair matchmaking. Imagine that! If you really want a better time playing this game then complain about a real problem, another acronym, P2P. Bungie fixes that and we all have a better time because its not other players or their skill level that is ruining crucible.

1 ReplySo now that the "get Gud" shoe is on the other foot you don't like it.
-
2 RepliesIf SBMM players leave a game during the match, it means nothing more than their “skill” is only effective against worse players. If you’ve been stomping players like myself for years and now suddenly find yourself against reasonable opposition and your first choice is to whinge about it, you aren’t as good as you think you are, you’re simply better than the bottom 40% of players.

3 RepliesYou can really tell a lot of people in this comment section only play 3 games of crucible a week. These are the same people that Bungie listens to when they balance PvP. Seems just a bit backwards imo. The experience should be improved for EVERYONE. Not just New Blights
-
2 RepliesAs much as we all want Crucible to die it never will. So when you say things like “nail in the coffin” it just makes you sound melodramatic. Over a million people logged into Crucible yesterday. A lot of dedicated PvP games would kill for that.
-
6 RepliesI don't understand, you want competition so you play pvp but you don't want to play against other players around your skill level. Who do you want to play against for the competition you crave?

45 RepliesCBMM killed the population to the point the game struggled to find matches, resulting in laggier matches. Overall the community seems to be enjoying the change to SBMM.

Edited by Phade: 8/27/2022 6:55:54 AMNo empathy here about sweats moaning about not being able to stomp casuals.

These people are why sbmm is needed. Let them rot in their kd farming hell.

2 RepliesHopped in to play 3 or so games with a buddy the other day. I used a 450 auto for fun and arc 3.0 lock. Had a blast because I wasn't getting stomped into the ground by the enemy team that was stacked beforehand. Now I had other players if my own skill level playing on my team as well and we had close matches each time. Even when losing I didn't care because it wasn't a loss by mercy like the entire past year. Tl;dr Works on my machine

2 RepliesSorry with sbmm I actually have teammates and I’m not the only one getting kills on my team anymore.
-
Thankfully someone has some brain cells here. Sbmm is absolutely terrible. If anyone has played control you can see how degraded it is now. It is a GIANT DUMPSTER FIRE.
-
1 ReplyI remember the days when i was fresh to pvp games and would get stomped by elite players, i would admire their skills and strive to improve and catch those beasts! Now it seems the age of participation has caught up to pvp gaming and everyone wants a medal for playing without having to get good. Shame.

The amount of people downvoting this is sad. You guys just don’t get it.

Here we go again 1st when D2 was out we had CBMM people complained then they switched to SBMM then people complained then they switched to CBMM again people complained then back to SBMM people complained then Bungie made it for Trials, Elimination, and Survival and IB only then Quickplay got CBMM now here we go again SBMM is now in Elimination Trials, Survival, and 6v6 Control -blam!- people and Now only IB has CBMM as of right now

16 RepliesDon’t you understand that since your games are now fairer - you play people of the same or similar skill - that the lesser skilled players also have fairer matches as well? How is that such a hard concept to grasp? The way you work so hard to be decent is what people like me have been doing for years. So now, because I’m not that good - I get easier matches and that’s a problem for you? Suck it up buttercup.
-
9 RepliesOh no I have to actually face folks at my skill level and can’t pin stomp to inflate my ego boohoo Oh cry me a -blam!- river get over it plus it’s only for 1 playlist ding dongs

23 RepliesI find hilarious to see all the self proclaimed “better players” who have been buying carries on their streamers’ store and farming their kd in stacks in control now come cry because they can’t beat players who didn’t fake their stats. The funniest thing is they project their frustration onto us, the 99%, who are actually having much more fun than ever before.
