Just know that hunters now have 5 supers that deal more damage than the warlocks' highest damage super. Some of you can drone on about "but you have to buildcraft", just know that no build will bring warlocks up to par with what hunters and titans can do by default.
Some of you will swear by void and stasis. Just know that some of us don't like being stuck with only 1-2 options when there should be a number of things we can choose from and have that same level of effectiveness and fun.

9 RepliesHunters are the squishy damage based class so it makes sense. (Glass cannon) Warlocks are the roomclear /ability class. (The mage) Titans are the survival /tank class. (Tank)

It's fine. The Warlock Natural Selection process has already begun. I for one am tired of fighting the other two classes on who is getting what. I am Warlock for life. Buffs are nice but until it happens, I'm not gonna cry about it like the rest. But of course, put in constructive criticism. Anything more than that is excessive. Class Fantasy or Not.

1 ReplyEdited by Soupreem: 8/26/2022 4:37:55 PMHeck, even Void shows it's cracks with the worst supercharging grenade aspect of any class and Child's downright inconsistent behavior. Not to mention less than stellar supers in Vortex and Nova Warp on both sides of the game, also Devour getting a net nerf for PvP. Also the melee being wholesale worse than Top and Middle trees, with no transfer.

Titans throwing hammers have been my main dps in dungeons with synthos and tractor cannon lol no reason to use anything else.

1 ReplyI made the switch to hunter, I’m getting ready to delete my warlock soon. The lack of options and the lack of attention to warlocks just turns me off. I knew something was up since the beginning of D2 vanilla when they introduced class specific swords. Warlocks being the only class without special and unique sword animations was actually the start of years of BS. The arc 3.0 was the last chance they had to wow me, the melee is no different from a modified version of the hunter slide and melee attack and its actually worse because it puts you in a disadvantage if your enemy survives. Everything else about arc got nerfed like traces and grenades, chaos reach is still trash and Stormcaller got nerfed too for literally no real reason. Meanwhile I switch to hunter, I have a ton of options like never before since all the subclasses are top tier, I equip the lucky raspberry from my collections with the jolting grenades fragment and Im now spamming more grenades than I ever have with my hunter without even having max discipline. My hunter is actually a better warlock than my warlock. That speaks for itself

1 ReplyThe Arc Warlock neutral game is very good for Crucible. It's better than the Arc Hunter and (arguably) Arc Titan neutral games The only real downside is a subpar super, but that's not a terrible trade-off for one of strongest melee abilities in the game.

3 RepliesEdited by Smough: 8/25/2022 10:56:26 PMHonestly the neutral game of the warlock 3.0 subclasses feel fine. Ability spam add clear which I suppose is what warlock is supposed to be good at. But nova warp, daybreak, and chaos reach need to be looked at and buffed. If nova warp is going to be the void add clear super, then it would be nice if it didn’t run out so fast. Longer duration and little or no cost for teleporting would make it feel a lot better to use. Daybreak needs to have the stormtrance treatment. Getting the aspects of the old top and bottom tree merged into one super. Sure I can build into making it a decent super, but it should already be good by default. It’s a super with a 10 minute base cooldown but it feels rather useless in pve and while good in pvp the cooldown really hurts it especially in something like trials. Chaos reach really just needs more damage. It shouldn’t be an add clear super since stormtrance already does that job but far better, and it shouldn’t need an exotic just to feel decent. I’m shooting a giant arc laser out of my hand, so why does it struggle to kill wyverns? I know people say “oh well not every super needs to be top dps!” and yeah I agree, but warlocks already have so much for add clear including stormtrance, so I don’t see the problem with making chaos reach the warlock’s big burst damage super.

8 RepliesWatch any vidoc or listen to a bungie dev on a podcast - hunters are supposed to put out the most damage. They’re doing it on purpose and warlocks won’t even move in that direction. Maybe play a new class and have fun being a Hunter when you feel like DPS.

3 RepliesIt’s because warlocks are only good at one thing we’ll if radiance if you give them more options no one will want to run it

Arc was irrelevant to me before 3.0 and will remain irrelevant after for me. Only time I have / will use Arc is for weekly strike singe, and challenges. Arc on Warlock is mediocre at best imo, both pre and post 3.0.
Just know that hunters now have 5 supers that deal more damage than the warlocks' highest damage super.
As it should be.
