BattlEye blocking launch of Destiny 2 due to antivirus files

Hello, Following the most recent update of Destiny 2, I am now unable to launch the game. Launching the game through Steam, the BattlEye launcher fails, giving the following logs: 20:55:52: Starting BattlEye Service... 20:55:57: Launching game... 20:56:08: Note: File blocks can be ignored if they don't cause problems with the game. 20:56:08: [INFO] Blocked loading of file: "C:\Windows\SysWOW64\cyinjct.dll". 20:56:09: Failed to launch game. Looking at what this`cyinjct.dll` file is, seems it's part of my machine's antivirus setup (Cortex XDR): File Description: Cortex XDR Injection Library Product name: Cortex XDR Advanced Endpoint Protection Any suggestions on how to work around this? Due to the security settings on my machine, I am unable to remove this file/uninstall Cortex XDR, but regardless I think this is a false positive reported by BattlEye, and the presence of this antivirus software shouldn't block the launch of the game. Would it be possible to whitelist this file? Or if this file being blocked isn't the reason the game is unable to launch, is there any means to get more information on what's going on? Thanks

  • From the web: "That is correct. The way Cortex/Traps works is that it injects itself into processes/files to detect malicious activity. It's likely that BattlEye is (incorrectly) thinking that this some kind of cheating tool. It sounds like you need to un-install Cortex, I'm sure 99% of Cortex users are in a corporate environment and don't play games."
