Season of plunder seems misplaced
Wouldnt it have made sense to launch this with grasp of avarice? Just saying

This could have been a real deep season Eramis and Missrax battling for the soul of the Eliksni, just like we saw between Calus and Caital last season for the Cabal But no, they had to fk It up with Pirate nonsense, no wonder people don't take the Fallen seriously anymore I do like Tarnished Mettle though, could be my main Arc Primary

It'll probably be enjoyable when I get into it, but for first impressions, I couldn't care less about anything in the season pass, and the general theme is far too neon, childish and gimicky. 'Scallywag' seal? After 'Gumshoe'? What happened to the original and lore-appropriate titles/gear for my guardian.

12 RepliesLooks pretty obvious to me from this season as well as the lightfall showcase that they're just trying to turn this game into fortnite. I mean pirates? Seriously? If this were part of the Halloween event sure, but IMO it's a total flop. I'm sure the kids with an attention span of 7 seconds love it though.

The game is shoot fallen, hive, cabal and vex on repeat. Occasionally a bit of Scorn or Taken. It's the turn of fallen again. Something, something Eramis.

Nah, we had to take a break from saving the universe to go do some pirate sh*t. Zavala had an awakening after coming to terms with his nightmares and thought humanity has had enough of this super cereal nonsense, God agreed, and now here we are. The Witness can hold off a little longer, it just wants to mess everything up anyway, so what's a little pirating detour? Party like its 1699. We've been Guardians long enough. Inevitably the universe is doomed anyway.

4 RepliesThe whole “pirate” theme is kinda dumb. I don’t feel like a pirate at all (not that I expected to I guess) and the only loot I got from ketchcrash was like 100 glimmer which is ironic for season of the plunder lol

They just need new writers, they need to make the game darker and turn to an MA rating, this season looks like it's just something fun and laid back before lightfall

I like the pirate theme, I’m all about my chests and booty.

It's like a filler episode. The moment they said the vangaurd is busy doing such and such this season turned into a side episode.

They kept saying the ship stealer will be revived and it happened. Fallen have always been space pirates, now we're dealing with the Real pirates

1 ReplyI'm pretty sure they replaced all the writers. This is the next season that is super corny. The last story I really liked was the clovis bray stuff with dark sci-fi vibes, but it was just a sidestory, the cheesy eramis story was the main story.

Not a big fan of running the ketch mission over and over for map pieces, I personally enjoyed the public event on leviathan more last season, I'll just have to suck it up and go with it I guess

It’s a ‘breather’ episode after last season was so ‘heavy hitting’ (Bungie seemed to think it was, personally I thought it was very flat). Personally I’ve enjoyed what I’ve played so far more than I enjoyed the first time I played Haunted. It’s good to finally meet Eido properly and she’s utterly adorable.
