The connection fails were definitely noticed, even several of us Mentors also had the issue; it may be fixing itself now as some people are able to log in and play now. It was relatively quick, so is possible Bungie might or might not announce that it was an issue since it seems to be getting resolved. Start trying to log in now to see if everything's all set. If not, give it a bit more time and try again. Bungie.net and the apps also had a funky thing where they were showing no characters for D2; characters didn't get deleted, it was just the API having trouble reading the data.

  • Please note that while the large outage that just happened was a widespread thing, if you've been having issues for a while, and those issues aren't resolved once this thing finally gets taken care of, your issue is unrelated to the recent one that just happened. If you continue to experience issues once the current one fully subsides, you'll want to post a thread on the forum specifically for your issue. While the current issue is ongoing and getting taken care of, it'll be hard for anyone to help troubleshoot what other issues might be going on if someone is having problems connecting.
