I just lost the last game I needed to win to make it to the lighthouse because one of my teammates (Freelance) decided to leave as soon as the match started. We lost 3-5 which tells me that with one extra person, we would have had a very decent chance at winning.
I think that there should be some type of protection for when things like this happen. I mean, the one who left didn't even shoot a single shot. Bungo could make it to where a random person joins and their card is not affected, or just pull everyone to orbit until a new teammate joins?

1 ReplyYou went into freelance and then complained about your teammates? Do you not see how odd that is to do? If there was protection, people would just abuse it. If you care about your team, then make your own team.

63 RepliesNah. People would exploit that. A team mate could just pull their Ethernet cable to "disconnect", which would save the other two players on their team from a loss. If you want more reliable team mates, make your own team.

2 RepliesIt may have not even been him leaving to be honest. I was playing freelance after playing like 5 cards earlier with no connection issues whatsoever. I’m in that freelance game and my team is up like 3-1. In the middle of the round my whole screen freezes abruptly and then I get error code bee. Then the game connected me back into the match like 30 seconds later and then literally immediately as I spawn in, it booted me straight to orbit. Bungie’s dogwater servers have been very sketchy lately. A couple days ago they kicked everyone out of the activity they were in - trials, raids, you name it.

Earlier in freelance had someone leave at 4 wins and I lost my forgiveness and had it happen on the final win as well needless to say I was pissed

it sucks i know but that’s what you all wanted with matchmaking. so did we learn if we don’t want people backing out then make a group

1 ReplyEdited by Semper Fidelis: 8/16/2022 7:10:05 AM- wins on the card are different - maybe his first game while you are on your flawless one - wins should be equal for all players in a team

If it is still 0-0 the match should be cancelled without any affect to the remaining players. However, if any rounds have been completed it can't be helped. One thing, you should be allowed to leave without a lockout penalty if a teammate has left.

You wanted freelance, deal with the consequences. 🤒

1 ReplyOnly for freelance, sure. People who disagrees with it is just the same crowd that disagrees with every single suggestion.

7 RepliesThere is protection already in place. It’s called pre made fireteams. 👍

Don't want to be screwed by random blueberries? Don't play Freelance.
