Glaives are broken in PvP

People should be able to block with a glaive, or shoot with a glaive. They should not be able to simultaneously block and shoot. Fixing this one issue would bring them in line with all other weapons.

    • Why? The shield emitter is behind where they shoot from. Makes no sense lore wise or basic game mechanic wise. And bungie designed them that way to counter people who rush . Because a glaive is only good at short range.

Fallout put out a video showing what counters the glaive shield and... actually it was quite a lot. Some of the better counters were solar and vortex grenades thrown behind the glaive shield from cover, coldsnap grenades, freezing them in general, and simply getting behind the glaive in one way or another since the shield only covers the front of the player's body. Another option would be to not push as hard. Glaives are a little slept on at the moment, but next season they'll be a little more in the spotlight due to the changes coming their way. EDIT: Also Witherhoard. Witherhoard HARD counters the glaive shield either with a direct hit or just on the ground.
