I've been having an absolute mess of a time trying to play since around the 4th of July weekend. Since then, every evening when I play, I can expect to be weaseled back to the title screen two to fives times over the span of four hours. I've experienced no lag that I can determine, but then suddenly 'contacting Destiny servers', goes away, comes back five seconds later, then booted out. I've got gigabit cable, I've followed every recommendation and guide in the self-help pages and on the web, I've shut down anything else remotely resembling anything that might even look at the internet, and nothing helps the situation. Even verified the files in Steam and when that didn't work, I did a reinstall of the game. I'd really like to not be kicked out of fireteams and PVP matches; is there anything to fix this?
