I love the idea for the community driven weapon ornaments but
How about the ones that never had an ornament weapon or armor?
Or how about an armor that just got buffed or is now usable on the current meta onwards?
I made this list so the community has an idea on which ones to voice out their opinions if ever another community driven ornament contest does happen again.
On the weapon side, only Wavesplitter has no ornament (Feelsbadman)
On the armor side (I'm not including armor that started around S12 onwards)
Hunter: Assassin's Cowl, Mechaneer's Tricksleeves, Sealed Ahamkara's Grasps, Kherpi's Sting, Lucky Raspberry, The Sixth Coyote, Raiju's Harness, FR0ST-EE5 (Much needed!), The Bombardiers
Warlock: Verity's Brow, Apotheosis Veil, Astrocyte Verse, Felwinter's Helm, Claws Of Ahamkara, Contraverse Hold, STARFIRE PROTOCOL (Much needed!), Sanguine Alchemy, Promethium Spur (Ugly -blam!- armor NGL)
Titan: Ashen Wake, Wormgod Caress, Severance Enclosure, PEACEKEEPERS (Much needed!), MK.44 Stand Asides, Antaeus Wards, Peregrine Greaves
Edit: I also forgot to add all 3 Aeon exotics lol

Take note. Bungie has always been consistent on adding something that’s the complete opposite of what the community actually wanted lol. Almost like it’s done on purpose lol

5 RepliesThey should have chosen weapons that either don't have an ornament or haven't had one in a while. I mean both sweet business and arbalist got one this season, so why make them an option for next season

If they did Exotic Armor they would have to have 1 for each class which is 3x the work and they obviously have to pay the artist for the ornament. Weapons are the logical choice since there are only 3 exotics that all classes cant use and thatsvthe exotic glaives

1 ReplyI am loving the "Legendary" ornaments that they are offering for Bright Dust. Legendaries have been neglected for too long and it is nice to be able to change something OTHER than the color scheme on a weapon.

LIke the 30th anniversary pack that Bungie charged you $24.99 to congratulate them for the 30yrs of your support. It was like paying Bungie to pat them on the back, instead of a thank you gift in celebration for sticking by them through the years and buying their products.

Preferably something that doesn't look like a dress like all the other warlock armor. __________________________________ Also, they already picked the artist... this isn't even a community driven thing. They should let whoever wants to send their art in so we can vote on it. That would actually give back to the community.

What they didn't explain was if the ornament will be given to everyone or if it will be gated behind the absurd RNG of this game or if it will be available only through Eververse. That's what worries me because Bungie has a special way of almost always ruining what looks like a great idea.

I think their testing the waters on this namely how the idea gets recived which so far is positive and maybe if they do another one they may expand it to weapons or armor with no ornaments

Seems like an last minute half baked idea, honestly what they should is 10 exotics every month with two weeks to vote and two weeks to create a new ornaments for the top 5.
