Can we please buy materials for glimmer again!
Since the materials have moved to Cryptarch we can no longer buy materials for glimmer. The only thing we can buy is upgrade modules and raid banners. Please let us buy materials again. It’s ridiculous that every material is bought by legendary shards.

I miss the key devs that had a say, that knew what they were doing to improve things for Destiny. At least in D1, the key devs were trying to move the game forward. This new Bungie and whoever is working on D2 that doesn't have a say is designing destiny to go backwards, and it's getting worse over time 🤦♂️ What's next, start selling materials and consumables through the shop to progress?

Look it up-the reason they got rid of it was because “nobody was taking advantage of it” which is nonsense. Sure if you play all the time you’ll have lots of shards. But if you only hop on a few times a week, you prolly don’t. It needs to be implemented back in.

This! I've been glimmer capped for the longest, and I don't need 4.7 million raid banners. Whenever I was capped I would spend glimmer on materials, which I could then use towards Upgrade Modules. There's very little to "just" spend glimmer on. Materials would make glimmer useful again.

The rotating store was more interesting. Spider was a better vendor for materials.

Honestly, I never fill up on Glimmer anymore, but back when I would constantly have maxed out glimmer, I would buy Season 1 transmat effects and trade them into Amanda Holiday for Legendary ones, dismantle to get a Legendary Shard. It works out to 2850 Glimmer per Legendary Shard, which isn't a bad deal.

Yeah, would be nice to have more ways to spend glimmer. They should just give the option to buy materials with shards or glimmer.

Now everyone has too much glimmer and not enough shards. I used to run extra strikes to get glimmer when I ran low. Now I always have too much glimmer. I am just going to play less.

Sounds nice to me. It would be even better to have the option to chose if spend Legendary Shards or Glimmer to buy Materials.

Even if it a mix of both mainly being glimmer and maybe 1 shard would be nice as well

I’ll sell my car for materials at this rate 😂 It’s my own fault. I keep buying upgrade modules and then not bothering to harvest or earn other materials. That’s what I’ll be doing in prep for season 18.
