Crucible: Embarrassing State.
I feel like the abysmal shape crucible is at the moment is quite embarrassing & the fact bungie has allowed it to get to the state it is in is quite hilarious
From A/E running gunplay to extent , from attempting to balance special weapons by nerfing special ammo ( which made special weapons even more used)
The abysmal lobby balancing in crucible is a joke & ruins any enjoyment crucible has. On top of the connection problems between consoles.
Maps we need more and a better variation of them at the same time & not a new map every 3 years.
Your lack of doing anything to fix such a crucial part of this game is just an insult to the people who purchase your content.
You keep saying it's going to be sorted but crucial has not felt good since forsaken when it was in its best state.
I've put 6000+ hours into this game and I believe there needs to be a huge shift into the fixing PvPl
pve is a perfectly fine state .
Give the crucible some love it's been years since you have!
PvP is what brings people back to this game , but if you don't fix it then you'll just keep losing more players.

The whole game is just a mess ! Tried to do a master NF, connection problems , getting booted , teleporting enemies and nothing to show afterwards. It’s the most broken game out there but we all keep coming back ….it’s hilarious really ! Bungie have worked out the something to keep people coming back or just putting up with it . 🤷🏼♂️😂

3 RepliesAgreed. I love pvp and was a COD player for a very long time. I love that destiny has character builds and abilities which cod doesn’t but it’s horribly way behind every other pvp game. Mainly being that being new to this game and learning I have encountered numerous groups designed to prey on the weaker opponents. Me being a seasoned pvp player in other games has me trying to still get better but I couldn’t imagine the other 95% coming into this game wouldn’t run from its matchmaking and meta lopsided-ness.

4 RepliesLet's have this conversation after matchmaking changes. Most of this is caused by entitled hardcore players / streamers/ influencers demanding to preserve a system that feeds them easy players. That's coming to an end.

1 ReplyI am convinced they have no competitive or crucible devs on their team. Some of the things that come out anyone can see day 1 is going to change up the sandbox negatively. When I returned to D2 I was optimistic that the crucible would be better as I stated in D1 that the only way they could save it was to purge it and start again. To my surprise all these years later we play the same maps and have all the same problems. What was the point of making destiny 2 if we are just playing destiny 1.5.

I used to play quite a bit of PVP and enjoyed it. Then they made the change to CBMM. Next thing I know I'm in matches with guys like Ifrostbolt. There is no way I should be in a match with guys of his skill. Guys like him could 1v1 me using no weapons and still win. I understand the longer wait times will insue argument they have, I'll have it too as a below average player. The difference for me is not every match I get in will result in a complete stomping for me. I will never improve in lobbies with PVP gods that normally kill me before I even see them. The bummer is ,bad as i am I used to enjoy it when I was playing with players near my skill level. The last couple of years most weeks I don't even do the 3 matches to get my pinnacle gear because of the frustration of being stomped every game.

6 RepliesCrucible is god awful and infuriating. Every evening of playing it ends with me agitated and contemplating quitting the game again. At this point I’d rather have a nice clean wiener in my mouth and I’m not even gay.

Just run around the map admiring its quality while asking how it ended up in a Bungie game while waiting out the clock. Do that three times, each week, free Pinnacle. Use it accordingly. Rinse, repeat every week. Crucible is a joke, and the majority of its fans are a joke too that rely on skate, shotgun, slide, melee or bubble spamming while team stacking to get points. People that think their score matters in Crucible clearly don't know what they're thinking, and I'm literally crazy. Just give up. I have. A lot of others have as well. New Lights come in and think ooo pvp, then get shot down fast and have to take a while to cope with the fact they're wasting their time waiting for new season content to come out. And why the heck do the majority of PvE exotic quests force you into Crucible or Trials, Bungie? I'd like an answer from you guys on this. No, not you Luis, Bungie. The people that make the game. Why is it that we're being FORCED into Crucible and Trials for achieves and gear? For PvE. Why? This one has me and my friends scratching our heads, and we've been playing D2 since 2017 aka vanilla. I remember what it used to be like... those were the days. Any plans on Sony trading you guys back to Activision for Call of Duty access so they can force you to fix the game?

1 ReplyCrucible is a direct reflection of the PvP team and their management. I’m not excited about sbmm because I don’t think they can implement it correctly and even if they do there is all the other issues they have caused in PvP. This is the same group that has adjusted shotguns 4-5 times within the last few years and they are still meta. This sums up the sandbox team perfectly.

Agree on lobby balancing. Is the worst of any pvp available. Whoever thought it was a good call to make sure you don't have teammates for 20+ rounds in a row, and then rank you on 3v1 disadvanged matches is maybe the least intelligent game associate in the history of gaming.

Being back a 140 hc meta and boom crucible is 10x less infuriating for me

1 ReplyIn the UK, I was messing around with loadouts, just for casual fun and noticed I was being matched with players from Brazil and China in Control. Either CBMM isn't working or the player base is so low this weekend that the system is struggling with MM.
