4 RepliesYes, I am also looking forward to this change. I really hope they stick with it and it can help change PvP. Definitely needs an update, at least IMO. I didn’t realize how large of a skill gap there was between best and worst player in any one match. I mean I knew it could be fairly high, but seeing it in wring was definitely eye opening. Hopefully this new system works well, and can bring more balance and maybe fun for most players.

They can't talk about "Balance" when the game relies on Peer to Peer Networking and has no Regional Dedicated Hosting Servers. As soon as the population drops, they will once again use "ASPTGMM" (Anyone Still Playing The Game Match Making) and it will be the terrible Fecal storm we have been experiencing since D1 Beta.

10 RepliesPlayers are an issue too. People who play 3 games a week for pinnacles are never going to improve. Meanwhile pvp mains stay on top of the game. Tell someone to study and learn from their losses and they moan about it. Tell them to practice and they whine about no-lifeing the game. Adjusting the system doesn’t fix bad mentalities. Why get better when the system will just babysit you more and more? I don’t mind the change, hopefully it will encourage more people to improve then not. But they should of mentioned players need to put in effort to get better because that’s the cold hard reality of pvp that this player base has forgotten about.

6 RepliesI’m honestly holding my breath on what I think on the system itself until it releases and I have time to see it in action. I’ll continue to play pvp because I really enjoy it. Despite the constant unbalance chaos that it is I still enjoy it and will give my opinion once I have enough experience dealing with this new matchmaking in hopes of sparking healthy discussion and feedback on what changes could be made to make it a better system that benefits the most possible players, the more that are playing pvp, the better.

2 RepliesIt does not matter which system they use if the basis is p2p which is 20th century tech used in 2022. The system employed is absolute garbage and any game which takes pvp seriously would not touch it with a barge pole. PvP is probably the worst i have ever seen in Destiny 2, shooting around corners, invincible players and dont get me started on cross play. Cross play on p2p whoever implemented this needs sacked i mean what did they expect apart from this unplayable garbage!

The amount of solo queue vs solo queue mercies that happen already is close to 0, and that’s all this effect seems to affect**.
