25 crucible games wtf and no catch up mechanic. Not to mention the event card upgrade for ten dollars? Really? What happened to the events catch up mechanics. Sorry but your greed is really starting to show. Idk go your devs find there jobs fulfilling working on the same content. You are now officially greedier than activision. The event last year was better than this grindy experience. Worst event ever. I can’t wait for the day when gamers get tired of playing grindy live service games and then studios will be forced to start releasing polished games for a change instead of have baked games with drip fed content

The event card upgrade is just for emotes and stuff which is a steal for $10. They would cost way more if you just bought them from everse.

5 RepliesYou have 20 days to complete 75 matches, which equates to about 4 matches per day. Too many people are talking about the "grind" because they want to have everything finished Day 2 of release. Make it make sense.

1 ReplyDid you play solstice in year 2? That was the worst in terms of rewards and time spending. It gave you irrelevant armor and it required to grind so much without catch up mechanics
-
Yeah this will be the first Soltice I will not grind... the armors are ugly compared to the last few years ones LOL
-
The first two Solstices are still the worst because they also had no catch up mechanics, the objectives were directly tied to the armor so you had no choice but to wear multiple pieces to progress efficiently, and they were far more tedious back then too. I still remember needing to do each redux mission twice per character, totaling 30 missions that absolutely took longer than a game of Mayhem. I also remember duoing Shattered Throne back when it was actually challenging, and I straight up ignored Prestige Leviathan because it wasn't worth it for just a masterwork. The 25 Crucible games triumph sucks, no argument there, but overall this is the fastest and easiest Solstice we've had. You can also get the seal and even gild it in just a single day, probably even faster than trying to get Iron Lord.

3 RepliesThere's a lot of boring grind with solstice this year. My personal opinion I think I'm out. There a several objectives that are too much. I'll play normally and see where I'm at at the beginning of week 3, but playing 3 characters is way way too much. If enough people don't finish their check marks then maybe things will be better next year. If you're new to the game, then sure go get some decent stat armor if you can. Otherwise take a break so you can enjoy next season and not hate the game.

1 ReplyI usually don’t mind grinding in this game. However, the grind is pretty bad for this Solstice event. Last year we had 2x and 3x bonus progress for our first and second characters, and we should have had it this year as well. There’s a bug where you can upgrade your armor while skipping the grind on your second and third characters, and I honestly wouldn’t blame people for taking advantage of it this year.
-
Not the best, but not the worst either, the armor is sort of lackluster this year, but I do like the streamlined and more focused EAZ, and the bonfire showers you with event loot, no more chasing RNG packages, and being able to build almost custom armor sets is good(I just wish Bungie would give us a few hints about Arc 3.0 and possible new perks so we know what to build into) , although most people already had there stats the way they wanted them it was still a nice touch

3 RepliesEdited by ryebar: 7/26/2022 5:59:50 PMI Guilded the title in under a week. You are talking gibberish. This year’s Solstice grind is nothing compared to previous years. The biggest drawback from this year would be the elemental buffs that would change daily are no longer part of the event.
-
Not even close. The early Solstice events were beyond terrible. You used to have to unlock the glows one armor piece at a time, one element at a time, one class at a time.
-
3 RepliesYeah i agree, let's bring back the old system were you had to complete each individual armor piece becuase the challenges were on them. Let's have it so that you could only do one challenge at a time because that is how it was setup. I absolutely loved having to spend up to 2-3 days on one character instead of this not even a full day that we have now and the abillity to choose which ever challenge we would like to tackle and also wtf why can we work on 7 challenges at the same time ? so dumb, we should only be able to do 1 at a time, smh. It was just so much faster and easier back then.
-
7 RepliesThe event itself seems to be pretty easy and fast to complete. Just sucks that the armour (for Titan at least), is probably the worst looking out of the bunch.
-
Yeah, grind sucks and honestly the armor glow isn’t cool enough for the grind.
-
1 ReplyThis is the best event ever.

5 RepliesHonestly the grind is easy lol, the only bad part is the crucible -blam!- grow a pair and deal with it
