Comment section full of people ignoring the main issue: matchmaking. Lobby balance is by far the biggest issue, period. SBMM needs to be implemented at this point.

Terrible lobby balance is what killed it for me. Makes no sense. I shouldn’t just get 5 bots vs 6 1.5kd players. Been playing for 7 years never felt so down about playing pvp.

This game is the biggest joke I've ever seen of a "development". The amount of times I've loaded into a Trials match or a Survival game and faced a fresh account with 97% headshot accuracy with a sniper is uncanny. This game is a joke and the so-called developers who "fix" the game aren't doing the player base any favors. Every other day there's a new meta that EVERYONE uses because if you don't use it, you're dying in one shot to everything else. If Bungie really gave a -blam!- about fixing the game they would have done it long ago. Activision was in the same boat with Call of Duty and yet, you see they still haven't made any improvements to the game, just more promises of cheaters getting banned, or rules changing. Bungie's development is just the same as Activision. They aren't fixing the big issues that need to be addressed, and PvP has been in a declining state for a long time, that's only getting worse by the day. At this point, I don't even care if my account gets banned or whatever, I hardly want to play anymore because every time I get on the game it's the same washed up content over and over again. Cheaters running amuck in Crucible, and the same repeated activities every week to *hopefully* earn a reward worth keeping- but it'll take you 19 hours total to get it. Oh, and don't forget, you have to do it again for better rewards! Bungie, if you can read this, please adjust your game. The community is hurting because of your lack of movement as a developer. You have no way for players to reach you to suggest things, nor do you have a review page, so it's almost like you're running away from the problems you've created by not doing something. If someone were to come into this game as a new player and try a Crucible match, I'm confident they wouldn't touch it because of how bad it is. Facing a player that's #12 in the world for kills with a 7.6 K/D as a player that barely reaches a 1.0 K/D on a good day? That's a joke. If match making really preferred similar skill, I would be facing people that have 1.0 K/D's or less. Not the BEST IN THE WORLD. So if you really care and want the game to be more playable and respectable, DO SOMETHING. I've stopped playing this game before because it was so bad at launch, and I came back at the launch of Beyond Light. I had some fun in the PvE storylines, but otherwise it's been a mess that has had no improvements whatsoever. I welcome challenges, but not impossible ones. Don't tell me to "Play nice" either. You're so afraid of bad reviews that you don't even have a page for it. Activision does the same. Do us a favor- don't be like Activision. This game could be SO much more than that if you guys just TRIED to fix it. Just a little bit. Sincerely, An upset player and former developer.

Yea lobby balancing is a huge issue right now. It’s not fun for every skill level at all. But the thing that makes it worse is the toxicity in the pvp player base. I mainly am a pvp player I enjoy the game but this toxicity is getting so outta hand played two days ago and got a total of FIVE messages saying mw2 type of stuff lol. It makes me laugh but I know it can get annoying for other players who just wanna enjoy the game like I do or who are not as good and getting messages like I do. Sorry not sorry and this is gonna hurt some pvp players feelings, but destiny will NEVER be competitive EVER. The game has far too many outliers for it to be an esports game. It can be competitive fun but that’s all it is so stop attacking players who are lower skilled than you for what they’re running if it’s not a broken gun the devs haven’t worked on. If you want a competitive game go play something else there’s open competitive spaces in other games. Nothing wrong with just enjoying destiny like the rest of us and not having a douce esports attitude I guarantee you will be happier knowing that lol. Had to just get this off my chest because there’s too many people in the pvp community that take this game too serious and need to chill.

I know one thing - sbmm or no pvp for me except IB. I really don't understand casual players that let themselves be farmed by veteran players match after match. Are you really having fun being stomped constantly?

Cross play ruined it for me connection is shocking. Player's teleporting, ghost bullets. Not good.

It's sad considering Destiny has the best gun play of any game. But Bungie just doesn't care about PvP, thats the sad truth. Trash maps, trash game modes, trash servers, trash spawns, trash matchmaking. Literally every single thing other than the gunplay, is absolute garbage.

I've been forced into that gigantic trash that is pvp because of the solstice event, and never have I hated bungie so much for the outrageous dumpster fire it is. Cheaters, try hards, unbalanced gameplay, unbalanced matchmaking, toxic community, you name it. It's all there, in that pvp. I couldn't play more than 2 games before wanting to uninstall the game. No wonder they're forcing pvp objectives everywhere, because if they had to count on the pvp quality to attract people, it would be dead by now. I wouldn't even touch it if I could have the whole solstice armor in pve, or at least gambit.
