"Skill based matchmaking" what a joke..
I got ONE good pvp match.. now I'm being eternally screwed hard.. I love the game but this needs fixing... like not fair for me to be put against ppl with massive kill counts after only one good match..

2 RepliesBungie has come out and confirmed that there IS NO SBMM at all in the game, since 2020. So if anything that alone proves SBMM would likely improve things for the average and low skilled players, standard deviation applies.

6 RepliesYou're new to the game. 1. SBMM isn't the problem. You're playing a game that is 5 years old, in a franchise that is 8 years old. The level of skill....especially in 3v3....is high enough to give even experienced players a nosebleed. 2. Playing 3v3 is very different from 6v6. The strategies are very different. 3. Be patient. You aren't going to come into this game and win at a high level in this game's PVP. There are just too many really good players. Give yourself time to learn.

Massive kill counts don't necessarily mean someone is good. Trust me I know.

2 RepliesAccording to destinytracker, my team is at the disadvantage on the lobby balance a whopping 72% of my last 50 comp matches. Second time this has happened this season...have been at rank 15 twice and got whacked by the algorithm twice to where I've dropped 3-4 ranks in a few days. I'm gonna data mine the rest of the season to see if I can crack the code on their uber secretive matchmaking system. So far the only factor I see with significance is consecutive games with a high KD. It looks like win or lose, if you raffle at least 3 straight games with a high KD, your lobby KD jumps and then it gets nutty.
