So, trials is basically done at this point... It was a valiant effort to make the game mode accessible, but with so many players out there purposely not going flawless to essentially gate keep regular players from going flawless, there is really no point.
I am not interested in calling out the teams we faced specifically, because that would not be fair to them, though I did report them for exploiting the game (cough cough bungie).

There's ways to fix it. But they won't. The first week they brought it back from tuning back in November it was perfect. Most people went flawless that week in the history of trials for a one week period. Why, well we could back out on the menu screen when we seen a 3 stack. Bring back the player tracker on the right bottom of the screen. You know what hated it? Streamers and pvp carry people. They couldn't feast on us like lambs to the slaughter. They ended matching up against other 3 stacks. They complained it bungie removed the tracker. Good history lesson. PVP Streamers are a poison.
-
Wait? You just found out that Bungie don't care about pvp?
-
I hate to say this but I don’t see how u can complain that much . U are more then capable of hitting flawless on a team very easily . Why are u hindering ur self
-
What no sbmm does to a game
-
Bungie will come back and say “according to our data only 9% of players are resetting to avoid flawless, so it’s not a problem” I bet if you dug deeper into the data those 9% are no lifers playing 14 hours a day, and are probably participating in 50% of all games played. Which is a problem.
-
They made the gamemode more accessible. Not the flawless. They just wanted solos / below average players to be able to play trials while getting some rewards for participation, but they didnt really expected them to go flawless. There is a difference between what you expected, and what was bungie's goal
-
You know it's mathematically impossible for 85% of the trials playlist to be on a win streak, right?
-
This has to be one of the most talked about things on the feedback forum. What happened to “ we are listening to your feedback”? They want to make the game more accessible but will allow ppl to be 100-10 and be in the non flaw pool? Bungie come on. I do the same everytime I run against a stack I report for game exploiting which it is. You’d think with bungie’s views at corporate they’d be more inclined to stop bullies not help them.
-
If anyone has say over a 65% win rate after 15-20 games they should automatically be added to flawless pool
-
Remove the flawless pool!
-
Would prefer to see a qualification process personally. A champions league of pvp. You qualify for Trials and get the glow then fight for good rolls. If you don’t qualify you should get the reward but just not adept ones. That way the good players get walled off and only fight other pvp mains. Stat farming goes away. Emerging/developing players still get loot. And the glow actually has significance again because you had to beat talented players to earn it.
-
Flawless pool is actually easier than non flawless pool these days. All the KD farmers are sweating their nuts off against each other in the non flawless pool on Sunday and lowering their KDs while mine keeps going up.
-
Depends on the reward for myself. If its something that I want to grind for, I'll go flawless. If its not, I will purposely not go flawless and help other people go flawless.
-
Where do we get those stats? Just wondering since there are also people throwing numbers in replies
-
Hadn’t faced a single resetter all day in non-flawless pool. Your %’s are a smidge off 😂😂😂🤦🏿♂️
-
Intended & built this way specifically to push players to buy carry services.
-
Why does it even let you reset without losing first?
-
I say they bring back the win based matchmaking but add more nuance to it so it doesn’t punish people who play a lot during the weekend and pick up wins but also lose lots. Maybe make it like you match on win streaks and/or win percentage for the weekend after your first 7 wins.
-
They should make the pool per character once you won those 50 rounds for the pinnacle. That way, casuals would still get the basic reward and sweatters could have their competitive matches.
-
Trial will always be full of peoples like that because its designed to be toxic They don't want to admit trial was a terrible ideas so they keep trying to make it "better" but every season its the same Big spikes on 1st/2nd weeks...dies out week 3 and 4 unplayable beyond weeks 5 ....always the same issue ,same player ,same bs
-
So I thought I had a pretty decent solution to this last season and it’s instead of a flawless pool you have a “Winner’s Pool”. On Sunday, all players whose accounts show 25+ wins in trials go into the winner’s pool, along with those who go flawless. Now you would have those people who are amazing but resetting their cards go into the same pool as those who got their flawless, but they would be able to still play in the normal pool for 3 cards, with a couple extra games as “insurance”. This also puts somewhat of a limit on attempts for other people, because now you have 25 wins to attempt a flawless card, and if you can’t get flawless after having 25 wins then maybe flawless isn’t for you. Thoughts?
-
Remove the flawless pool
-
Yep and its pushing players out of trials again.
-
You know out of a couple hundred thousand there’s only like 2-3k that are resetting right? Bungie won’t do anything about this cause all they care about is numbers. It’s not an exploit if it’s in the game
-
unlucky bro ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
-
Honestly, good. Some of yall need to be put in the dirt for what you’ve done to PvP.
