I recently had a talk with Savy and she said that the witness made the darkness, that the darkness has a mind of its own and that we're at a war to claim it. Then she talked about how the Traveler uses mathematic calculations and calculates outcomes. Which it then got me thinking, about the dark future lore. I'll get on that in a bit. The light, made by the Traveler, a force that brings life and manipulates the life of a planet or planetoid, a giver of second chances but at the cost of forgetting your past life, acts to the will of creator and its creations. The Darkness, made by the Witness, a force that grants power and causes destruction, grants the power to hold memories from times that was once lost, has a mind of its own but can be controlled. In the Dark Future lore, the Traveler tries to flee while all Guardians subcome to the dark and leave it behind. And Elsi has lived through the same event again and again and again until she can find the timeline that the light wins. But that's the thing, it doesn't...the allies of humanity does. I believe the real battle is against the Traveler and the Witness. The dark future is a problem that has occurred countless times, but I believe the change started with the restriction of Savathún. If all of us, humanity, Eliksni, Cabal, Hive, and Vex come together to destroy the Witness, then we would have a better chance at changing the dark future. Light and Dark are two sides of the same coin. One can't live without the other or in our case, we can't survive without both. In order to end this conflict, we must break the coin in two. We must control both forces to destroy one of these God's.
