I'll be fine with Legendary. It just needs to have a useful origin perk. If it comes back as an exotic with no anti champion mod, it may never be worth the exotic slot for higher end content.

Idea: Old Beginnings: This weapon gains increased damage while using your class ability. Damage could also be substituted for handling, range etc. Or Survivor of Old: When you defeat an enemy with a charged melee, you reload all weapons and gain a small boost to recovery.

I think the origin trait could be as simple as kills grant a small reload bonus. Think vanguards vindication level but for your reload stat. So not as to encroach on outlaw or compulsive reloader.
