This damn game is so bad that made me angry every time I played it.
2 months away from it made me a new person for real.
It is a pity though because it could be special, like D1 was.
Definitely recommend taking a pause to everyone
Gg to all the players

83 RepliesSpecial like D1? D1 had less things to do. Less buildcrafting. Less diverse weapons. Ghostbullets. A cooldown on sprinting. D1 wasnt special at all. It was worse in every way.

What a long, wet fart. 1000s of games out there, play what you like. Bye.

2 RepliesThe problem is not that destiny is... bad.... it's that it is by far too grindy and does not respect people's time. Also they've possibly by accident bred one of the most toxic and hostile communities I've ever seen. Like literally every day I watch people casually spew -blam!- that if you said it to someone's face you'd be walking back to your mom's basement with your teeth in your pocket. I know it is hard. I know it is a burden sometimes. But when you have a choice to be angry or hateful, you also have a choice to be kind. Has anger or hate ever actually made any of you feel better? Has it made anything change in your favor? Has it had any positive effect for anyone? Robin Williams once said "Every person you meet is fighting a battle that you know nothing about. Be kind, always." What ever else you do today, be kind, if only once, as if it's a muscle that needs exercise, be kind, even if only to your self. Find a way to show kindness to someone, anyone. It doesn't matter if they appreciate it. It matters that you did it. Because no act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.

1 ReplyIf a video game has that much influence in your life, the video game was never the real issue

It happens to me to take pauses from the game now and then. When an Expansion/Season doesn't actract me, when I feel the game felt in a period of stall or when we're close to the end of a Season and I have nothing more to do, complete or collect of my interest. It helps a lot to keep the interest for the game almost always fresh and never risk a burnout. Also avoiding Activities that one doesn't enjoy is important.

Edited by The Hermit IX: 6/27/2022 5:00:45 AMDestiny isn’t your problem. You sound like you need to work on yourself. If a video game creates any form of havoc in your life, you need to change things on a personal level that are directly related to your mind frame and choices. Coming back to post this shows that you still have things to work on. Good luck to you. Your game history shows you’re actively playing though out the past several months so your post is completely deceptive. That’s what’s wrong with you, not the game.

As soon as the time gates story ends, I'll be gone till the next season. I'm getting horridly bored now.

Edited by TheShadow: 6/26/2022 4:33:50 PM
This damn game is so bad that made me angry every time I played it.
You are correct about the game being in a very poor state, and it is because of Bungie's deliberate poor actions that all of this started with D2 base game. Bungie and their logic of "fixing things", making a lot of unnecessary changes, and they continue with that flawed logic 6 years into D2 and yet to come. D2 has its moments that the game can be fun, and there are some things good about it when they put some effort into it, but the bad majorly outweighs the good and that is a red flag. So taking brakes is a really good thing.

4 RepliesHad to take a break this season too, having to regrind all my builds again because of the resilience changes was a huge kick in the nuts but now that it’s done and I’ve hit +15 in the artifact I can now play on and off again until GM’s roll back around.

5 RepliesD2 is a lot better than d1.
-
20 RepliesD1 isn't anywhere near as good as d2 .. seems like you're looking through rose tinted glasses. However sometimes a break is needed. Plenty of times I've felt burnt out on this game throughout its life time.
-
I went back to D1 around I believe Season of Lost to figure out if it was better and let's just say it felt way less fun and no matter what weapon I used exotic or legendary I felt like nothing was unique. The story also felt even less re-playable than D2's un re-playable stories. Plus D1 hurts my eyes to look at.

see I do the same thing but....champions still exist

2 RepliesEdited by Dredgen Truth: 6/26/2022 12:12:08 AMI take frequent breaks from this game and still play it Even for those of us who want to keep going it's a good idea to step away if you're not having fun People continue to not realize this and just don't have fun with it as a result

Edited by RingersCheckmate: 6/25/2022 6:29:41 PM
it could be special, like D1 was
Aaand that's where we check out. 7 months away from TTK wasn't enough time away for me, personally. Was a long year of the worst SBMM in the franchise and no 1-1 infusion. You don't need to play every day of the week and have this be your one and only game. That's just unhealthy. Stop playing if you aren't enjoying it, come back if there's something that catches your interest. You make it sound like you're held hostage to play, but the stuff you'll miss out on is pretty insignficant.

2 RepliesJust like touch grass that’s so enlightening

Did you mean to say 2 weeks instead of 2 months?
-
Totally agree. Only major issue is that the seasons were included with witchqueen deluxe and if you bought that and dont play them now you won't get to later. So get your monies worth but take it slow guardians, you get less "killed by the architects" that way.

Can't wait for Dragons Dogma 2

Yeh breaks are good. Helps you get a bit of perspective. The most toxic are the ones that are burnt out and too close to the game.
