I didn't know how awful weapon crafting was until I finally got around to trying it out.
It's really bad.
In my opinion, here's what could save it:
-blueprints need to be unlocked quicker/easier. By time I unlock a blueprint from the raid, there are already better weapons that I want to craft. By time I get those blueprints there will be better weapons, and this cycle just continuously repeats.
-it takes way too much time to level a weapon, and the enhanced mods aren't worth it. This system encourages mindless Shuro Cheese, which is awful design. Either make enhanced perks worth the tedium, or make it quicker to rank crafted weapons. Preferably a little of both.
Anyway, weapon crafting is horrible and I'll go back to ignoring it again unless the issues above are addressed.
Edit: hm. Interesting responses. It seems a lot of people agree with at least the part about blueprints being frustrating to obtain.
But, apparently, a lot of people believe that video games are for workin', not for enjoyin', and therefore I don't deserve crafting. Probably the same nerds who didn't use cheat codes.

3 RepliesHonestly, I think we would have a huge incentive to actually grind for the craftable weapons, if they simply gave us 2 perk options in slot 3, and 2 perk options in slot 4. The fact we still gotta either a) save 2 of them for PVP and PVE (if we like them enough) or b) re-forge them everytime they want to change PVE or PVP activities (which is insane). The fact we can't inherently have both our God roll PVE and PVP weapons in ONE, is kinda asinine, and a horrible oversight. We get chances at multiple-perk drops already, once we can unlock the focusing. Why would we keep our crafted on over a random drop with 4 perks we will absolutely utilize? Dumb.
