You want us to build into this stat except literally NOTHING in game tells us what gives us + or - airborne effectiveness. How is someone who doesn’t go on Reddit or read a TWAB supposed to know they have to build into this. It makes the entire system dumb and make zero sense. I’ve never heard of such a thing. Yea you have to build into this stat except literally nothing in game tells you that or shows you the stat. It needs to be on exotic armor and all weapons.

Edited by hate n payne: 6/12/2022 9:27:21 PMIt was a bad change. It seemed good on paper but in actuality it is horrific. All they needed to do was either remove Icarus Grip and make it into a perk or reduce the amount of airborne effectiveness it had. These changes were unnecessary and it has made PVP even worse than it already is especially when they didnt even address lobby balancing, matchmaking, modes as playlist to modes within playlists conversion and map changes.

to build into it you have to buy a aimbot

1 ReplyBungie claimed its going to add a stat for air accuracy eventually, no solid date but its safe to say maybe after arc 3.0 and the full auto feature is a thing.

3 RepliesI love the changes no more sissy -blam!- warlocks floating around lmao

Honestly, put another Icarus grip level bonus (+15 AE) attached to a weapon type specific leg armor mod. Make them be decently expensive (3-5 each) but give a solid reward. Being able to invest to reliably get to 30-35 AE would be good on most primary weapons.

4 RepliesI love all of this 🤣 Bungie made it so building is dependent on exotic armours now. The best system possible for Destiny. Now they won't have to balance abilities but rather nerf the exotic armor that allows that and then it's done. No more playing around with several different percentages from abilities and how they interact with all different kinds of armour and builds, but just focus on the armor that allows that since without exotic armor most builds are just normal builds probably less effective than D1 style 🤣

They release it so we test it so it can fully release next season which is kinda obvious when you realize only next season will the stat stop being a hidden stat

3 RepliesAll part of the scam. Taking away choice. Forcing inflated playtimes that amount to nothing for the player. “Trust us you can build into this” scam when the reality is you can’t. It’s a bold strategy though, gimping the only thing destiny has been able to get right consistently which is good gunplay.

It's called skill.

3 RepliesJust forget about it adept your playstyle to stay on the ground. Because bungie isn’t gonna back down on this. It’s easier to adept then to do this argument with bungie about it.. they will never understand that, picking a subclass, then exotic, then weapon, then mod, then have a right fragment, then make sure you hit a melee now you get 4 seconds of in air accuracy. Oh only on you’re primary weapon not special because that’s not what we want. Honestly in a game with 0.8 ttk its way more easy to chuck a grenade and two tap a guy after that. Honestly adepting is easier. And these ppl who are complaining about in air accuracy don’t understand that good players will be good players with or without in air accuracy. Honestly I was doing good before this season and now I’m even doing better. But I do still hate the change

11 RepliesOnly thing that gives negative is stompees I believe which everyone and their mother knows by now

no aimbotting from 1000 feet in the air for you

3 RepliesThey want you to read last weeks twab and know which exotics give more airborne. and the hugest problem with this game is its overreliance on sites like Destiny Item Manager to show us these Hidden Stats. a Shayura's Wrath with icarus goes up to 40 AE. with peacekeepers you get +50 for smgs, which means you get a 90 AE with smgs when using them. with lion rampants SUPPOSEDLY you get 100 AE on hipfire. but if your gun has less AE, due to how the aim assist is severely reduced in air now as to how it was before, the guns feel TERRIBLE on hipfire with hipfire grip, a playstyle which was heavily reliant on the extra aim assist for consistency, only guns that feel pretty good with it are the new Halo guns from the 30th aniversary. Overall, I think more exotics should give AE so we have at least a semblance of a way to feel like we used to before. for now whenever you're moving you're more accurate at landing bodyshots with how the game is. and I absolutely hate this change for what it did to movement centric playstyles. The stompees nerf nerfed the whole game. And I really like the work the sandbox team usually did, but this is too harsh. the guns need more aim assist in the air to keep feeling GOOD.
