The solar 3.0 drop was an absolute disgrace for warlocks. It was an absolute nerf.
They then give some half assed little additions in the latest patch to account for the loss and say you should be grateful the abilities team fit this in. Lol grateful for what... They should of given more thought before the solar 3.0 release.
Warlocks should annoyed because we lost an entire super option, we lost a super that could extend with kills, and they literally gave that option to Hunters instead with golden gun.
We have to choose between rift and phoenix dive which is an absolute joke.
We had an awesome flowing solar class which should of set the bar for other classes but instead they absolutely destroyed it, it feels gumby and lazy now.
Thanks for nothing.

1 ReplyAnd I thought us Hunters were the whiny bunch. 😂

The warlock's job is to spread status affects and play support not DPS. Solar on walrocks has always been that way and bungie made us better at that job. Literally everything your complaining about were changes that were needed. If you dont like solar 3.0 then dont use it and go back to void 3.0.

Wear dawn chorus

5 RepliesGolden gun doesnt extend with kills though. I just think solar and void need at least 3 more aspects for every class. Titan needs in super shoulder charge. Bottom dawnblade needs to return. Hunter needs stability on crit kills and an aspect for knives.

1 ReplyToo bad. Wait until next season if you're lucky. Game design hard.

2 RepliesEdited by reenry: 6/9/2022 10:24:43 AMWhats with the trend of buff dawnblade in PvE..? Its incredibly stupid. At that point Ill run nova. Warlock is fine. Golden gun needs buffed

Could we maybe get an overshield for pvp. The game isn’t fun anymore when you’re automatically at 2/3 the health as everyone else. Also, don’t tell me a rift is any good. They are a joke a take longer then the red war to deploy. I just would like things a little even so I can play the game again. I don’t want to be forced to play a character I don’t want too. That’s pretty standard video game stuff.

8 RepliesNo y’all are already op with those starfire protocol with fusion grenades. Dawnblade is fine as is. If anything needs to be looked at it’s burning maul

1 ReplyNo more crutchlock for you 👍

You mean like, basically the same super? You dont see titans mad that they lost one super in solar AND void. And they probably wont complain wheb they take one option out of arc.

Go play another game crylock

10 RepliesSolar Warlock was broken. So they brought it in line.

9 RepliesEdited by TheArtist: 6/9/2022 3:35:20 PMBecause Solar Warlocks were so overpowered that they were basically the only viable subclass for many years. All Bungie has done is retune the game so that Void, Stasis and Solar are equally viable....and they each have their own in-game function and reason to play them. Which is how well-made RPGs work. They have also tuned all the supers back to something more like D1 levels of power, and then increased the power of the warlock neutral game UP to a level of power more akin to what we had in D1. TLDR: I don't want to be rude. But if people spent as much time and effort figuring out how to get the most out of the new system, as they do complaining about CHANGE....they'd be happier. Because the reality is that there are STUPIDLY powerful builds available within the new system. But the changes are going to require people to play Solar Warlocks DIFFERENTLY.

Edited by Eclipse: 6/9/2022 5:06:42 PMOmg it’s not about one super going 🙄 you warlocks cry about everything And us hunters need the third option for celestial nighthawk. YOU WARLOCKS CAN KILL ATHEON WITHIN 6 SECONDS SO SHUT UP AND DEAL WITH IT

Soo it doesnt surprise me the would gut the other classes in some way as well
We have to choose between rift and phoenix dive which is an absolute joke.
👆THIS. What is this about? And there’s a cooldown. A freaking cooldown on the dive. It doesn’t seem like they took much time for 3.0. Seems rushed A timer!

3 RepliesEdited by Xero: 6/9/2022 11:16:45 AMWell, if damage is lower, and Bungie doesn't up the damage for direct impact, maybe it needs a lingering burn effect to the spot it hits? I haven't fiddled around with it, as I've been busy with work. So these are just thoughts in response to the post. I will say that having Rift and Phoenix Dive was a "dirty combo" for us to have, used that alot in Season of the Lost and felt like it wasn't fair that I could out maneuver some Hunters when going straight down lol. But back to the point. Maybe if it hits a red bar it should explode and chain it to others further away compared to other supers? Just to double down on the "ad clear" statement. Or maybe it could just leave a DoT burn that lasts much, much longer to compensate? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

3 RepliesJust put on winter's guile and snap, you'll be fine.

Idk what you're on about. Solar 3.0 has been amazing on all three classes. I can blow up an army with 300k damage Ignitions on Warlock, throw half a dozen tripmines in 10 seconds on Hunter, and nuke enemies with a 500k-900k Consecration on Titan. All while being practically unkillable. And none of these even involve the Super to begin with. That's just there for when I feel like using it.
-
1 ReplyTo be totally fair, Titans and Hunters both have supers that are extended by an aspect, and I can't remember if Titans could extend hammers with sunspots beforehand but I know 6 shooter could extend its duration on kills. Issue is they took it away from Warlocks and only Warlocks for some reason. So yea, its bad, but just wanted to throw that in there.
