Levelling Crafted Weapons
The levelling system for crafted weapons is nice, but it would be convenient to have a way to expedite the process. A potential solution is to add the ability to pay masterwork materials (e.g. enhancement cores, neutral elements, etc.) to level up crafted weapons, like the masterworking system. This allows players to bypass the grind and gives veterans more ways to offload excess cores/prisms. This also reduces the systemic differences between crafted weapons and random drops.
Deepsight Weapon Drop Rates
There is a large problem with obtaining enough deepsight weapons to get the pattern for seasonal weapons, and these problems go against the system's philosophy of mitigating RNG. One of the reasons this system is in place is to increase player engagement by forcing players to have to play for longer for their perfected weapon. As an alternate way of increasing engagement, levelling crafted weapons should take longer in exchange for a higher deepsight weapon drop rate to make the process less reliant on random chance, and more so on player effort. This increased time commitment should be avoidable through spending enhancement cores, thus players can choose to either farm to get their weapon to level 30, or spend masterwork materials to level up their weapon instantly.

Leveling up the weapon is annoying, but it really comes down to where to kill. I have the ultimate farm spot for leveling and catalyst kills. Where your alone and its endless redbars. I can level every 3 mins and 30 sec. You can sit idle for 7 mins before your kicked if you get bored. But I usually do a couple levels, do some pickin up around the house come back and rinse and repeat. 🤣

The quest for the 5th drang continues. It’s like the energizer bunny… Going, going, going ☹️

Drop rates are sketchy at best... We also should be getting opulent umbral energy from activities not last seasons umbral energy.

What about to pay silver?

1 ReplyI agree with the premise "levelling crafted weapons should take longer in exchange for a higher deepsight weapon drop rate..." I think getting the Frame into the hands of the user should be super quick - one deepsight. Leveling the crafted weapon to be able to be a god roll requires playing with the weapon. A satisfactory compromise would be to make the leveling steeper in exchange for getting the weapon in hand faster. My reasoning for this is this is how it was in D1 (Kinda). We got a cool new weapon, & grinded to make it GREAT. I can't wait to play with the weapon. With the current system I have to grind out an activity for weeks to get 5 deep sights & then you have to START leaving the weapon. By the time this happens I have god rolled RNG drops of the weapon, but pushed to use this garage "crafted" version to level it up before it has any worth. The current weapon crafting system leaves me completely uninterested in that grind.

10 RepliesEdited by The-Iron-Duke: 6/9/2022 5:11:28 AMAm I wrong in saying they stealth nerfed Shuro Chi too? I went there recently and was no longer getting one to one level progression.

1 ReplyLeveling it up to get Enhanced Perks is too long, boring, and defeats the purpose. You already have to use hard to get Ascendent Alloys to unlock the perks so why do you also need to level it up? You spend most of the time with the weapon, leveling it up without the good perks. That's like Destiny 1 where you would have a Gjallarhorn but you had to spend countless hours to get wolfpack rounds (before motes of light).

1 ReplyJust a thought. What if instead of this "unlocking season perks" thing, each week unlocked a new weapon and you had to complete activities to unlock the perks for that week. You can still get random drops but by about midway the season if you play weekly you should have most of the weapons and perks unlocked. I guess one day I'll have to do the raid because I want the ruin glaive... but I know the mods will be -blam!- c.c

2 RepliesOr... Have a new consumable that doubles xp for crafted weapons. Like rainmaker can give you a shower of glimmer and matterweave gives a core. Gives us like a blueprint consumable for double weapon xp.

9 RepliesWe’re week 3, I’m level 80+ on the pass, been grinding the leviathan a lot, yet still no mida mini tool pattern. Guess I’ll have the ability to craft one when arc 3.0 releases 😅

When it comes to the drop rate, i suggest increasing drop rates AND lowering the amount of times you need to do the deepsight thing, maybe allow us to craft a crude version of the weapons we want, it has crap stats, but killing with it unlocks the ability to do a proper crafting of said item, but this unlock should take a while....longer than the current deepsight ones do. Think of it like the feature in Destiny 1, where you got a weapon from Banshee and you killed with it until its completed, maybe they could do something similar here, cause i want all my weapons to be this leveling thing, but sadly, the ones i want, never, EVER drop.

3 RepliesTears of Contrition, which look like being the only viable Auto (depending on the perks available, and I have little hope for anything decent) needs 5 deepsight TofCs, to get the pattern. How? I've played the Leviathan Event till I'm blue in the face, and only two have dropped, and none are deepsight. This isn't RNG. This is deliberate!

10 RepliesThe drop rates are poor! after 2 full resets at the crown of sorrows, I've just now received my first deepsight auto rifle.
-
2 RepliesI don’t think it does but enemy tier should affect progress, like if I’m dropping orange and yellow bars, they should count more.

1 Reply1. duality machine gun and energy weapon (opulent weapons) cannot be focused and must farm the dungeon for deepsight drops. 2. Wish i didn't need to visit the enclave each Time i want a perk. Would use 3 ascendant alloy/shards to put on a second perk in each column. To use combination of pve/PvP, defensive/dps perks etc.

Fixed odds is the one I’m concerned about. So much cp farming-_-

1 ReplyEdited by Refrigerator Jax: 6/9/2022 2:22:32 AMI'm done with it. I'm literally fed up getting them to level 16... its boring, repetitive and just painful. I've done the Mini Calus and Austringer so that will do.
