Post master doesn't need them, neither do I.
**Edit: Changed from Soft cap to Powerful cap, allowing for cheaper infusions until pinnacles are required.

1 ReplyThey are supposed to stop dropping in evergreen activities when you hit the hard cap of 1570. That is the best they could do before Witch Queen released.
-
2 RepliesEdited by Refrigerator Jax: 6/7/2022 10:42:38 PMBut they give you a +1 on the tedious Gunsmith rank that takes the whole season to the end to complete 1 full rank. Gunsmith needs all the help it can get.
-
Blue armor: Yes. Blue weapons: No. I would rather use blues to infuse unused, low light weapons in my vault instead of wasting legendary shards.
-
4 RepliesI thought they said at Witch Queen release after you hit 1520 you wouldn't get blues anymore, or was it 1550? Anyways, it was BS.
-
Where's the toggle to turn them off??
-
Blues just need removed from the game overall.
-
I think the point of them still dropping is A) Gunsmith rank from dismantle B) for those that want blue armour looks for transmog and/or a blue gun. I know in year one trials I rocked a Blue Shotgun cause it had the best stats.
-
I’d prefer a filter that we can set: Rarity Power level Gear slot Weapon type/archetype Etc. Give us options. Reset the filter to off each time there’s a new season - this would be to prevent complaints from those who “forget” to turn off their filters.

1 ReplyI made a post a while back about this. My thought is to DCV all White, Green, and Blue Weapons and Armor. IMO: No one really cares about this crap anymore. Dismantling gives you +1 Gunsmith and less than 1000 Glimmer, this is not rewarding. All items in this game should Legendary or Exotic. More Legendary items dropping in place of Blue item would be better for both new players and vets. New Players can actually start to Armor Stat farm earlier and get acquainted to their builds faster. Vets gain the ability to farm for Armor Stats and God Roll Non-Craftable Weapons. Also: Since Bungie likes to DCV our weapons anyway and then bring them back (Like they're doing something special), this would allow Bungie to rework some White, Green, and Blue items and reintroduce them as Legendary Items. Again, just my opinion.
-
10 Repliesnote. without blues to dismantle your gunsmith rank would be lower. Consider that you're losing that. Maybe what you want is some sort of dismantling automatic setting instead of going to postmaster. Or maybe a priority where by the the pomstmaters deletes any blue first before removing anything from postmaster.

2 RepliesI also think we’re leveling up banshee to easily.
-
An option to auto-dismantle blues would immediately fix all this.
-
1 ReplyThey added autodismantle to green engrams in D1, why can’t that have an option for that in your settings for blues in D2?

1 ReplyEdited by Scratch: 6/7/2022 9:26:33 PMBungie doesn't give a crap about inconveniencing players, they only care about getting people addicted to their game. Blues are nothing more than an addiction mechanic. There is no need for us, the players, to receive blues every two minutes, when most players throw them out the very first opportunity they get. It's bad game design. "Here throw this out, here throw this out, here throw this out" doesn't make sense from a game play point of view, now, does it? Blues, however, are a wonderful tool to keep the consumer playing. Like I said, Bungie could give a crap if it's inconvenient to you, the player, as long as it keeps you, the consumer, hooked on their product. There are psychological studies that show how human nature works. If you receive a reward, even if it's something you are going to throw away the first opportunity you get, it triggers the reward center of your brain. If you keep triggering the reward center, when you finally do get something amazing(god roll) your brain releases endorphins. It's called "Intermittent Reinforcement", look it up, it's a real thing. So this constant flow of blues is to trick your brain into addiction. Bungie will never sacrifice getting new players addicted just to make the players that already addicted happy. Ever. No one who is addicted to this game is going to leave just because dismantling blues is inconvenient. They know it's a waste of your time and they don't care because it hooks new customers. Blues serve no other purpose in this game, and Bungie knows it. But they'll never stop dropping them because they're not trying to make the best possible game they can, they're more concerned with making the most addictive, profitable game they can. It's why "Two tokens and a blue" was such a joke to the community. Bungie thinks that we think of blues as a reward. For new players this may be true, and blues do start you down the path of addiction. But by the time you realize this you're already an addict so why not let the players who've reached that point toggle them off? New players would leave it on anyways, and by the time you go to look for a toggle to stop blues, they're already hooked. I believe Bungie actually thinks that if we toggled off blues the game would feel less rewarding and we'd stop playing. LoL Sad but true.

How else are you gonna get your 2 tokens and a blue smh
-
Edited by DNF2005: 6/7/2022 9:24:46 PMI concur and get them out of end game content as well If not then give me an exotic slingshot that shoots blue engrams as the post master will never run out of ammo Exotic won’t do good damage and will be nerfed a month after launch but it will still be better than holding down a button multiple times after every activity
-
Bruh 1 update add auto dismantle and all of these problems could’ve been addressed. Ppl been asking for years
-
I will gladly accept all of KaiGaines's blue drops from this point forward.
-
Blue (and Legendaries to an extent) are near worthless now. They should auto-dismantle when you run over them after you only need Pinnacle drops for power. Or if they insists we still get them, give them random rolls at the very least.
-
Once again my postbox is filling up with blues, pushing everything else out. I would be happy with them lowering the drop rate.
-
3 RepliesWait, what? soft cap? You’re crazy. How else we sposed to get infusion fuel?
-
1 Reply“No More Blue Equipment”. There! Fixed it for ya!
-
Agreed. We need an auto dismantle toggle. They auto dismantled green gear in d1. Just do it for blues once they no longer help you. Not that hard.
-
Bungie can't do that, because that actually give what players want. And Bungie will likely remain consistent in disappointing player's wishes. Seriously though, the rarity system is dumb in itself. Blues should be common (white), purples should be rare (blue), and exotics should be unique (stays yellow?). The current greens (uncommon) and whites (common) should be New Light gear that dismantles itself once the new Guardian equips a blue. Or, for a simpler solution, Bungie should change the postmaster system to only accept items that players choose to have drop in there. EX: player selects for only exotic gear and all consumables that drop in the game that the player didn't pick up. Everything else is not picked up by the postmaster or auto-dismantled.
