So I ask you. Do you think your so called buff was enough? I told you, as soon as abilities like suppressive glaive went away that would be the last you saw of glaives without a major weapon mechanic overhaul. You didn't launch them too soft and in a state that needed a buff. You launched them in a state that is incongruous to how the game is played on a fundamental level. You would have been better off launching them as a weapon that created an overshield as you used the melee weapon that you could choose several options with. You can keep the overshield, or once the shield is fully charged, you can convert it into weapon energy that grants the weapon additional damage as a melee weapon, fire a projectile that does high damage instead of multiple shots that do moderate damage, feed it into your abilities, or perform a slam attack that would damage an area of effect, all of these would deplete your shield. You are too focused on the idea of melee weapons needing ammunition. The weapon should have been god awful in crucible but an incredible option in pve. Instead you have a weapon that's meh where ever you use it.
