Trying to play rift is absolutely painful. Being on Xbox, there is a noticeable difference in lag, hit detection, and jerkiness when playing against others who aren’t also on Xbox. It’s a night and day difference.
Shots with a reticle on target randomly do no damage. Incoming shots go through walls and around corners and opponents jump and jerk out of the way of incoming fire.
I’m done with destiny until this is fixed.

Edited by Verp: 8/1/2023 9:21:44 PMAbout a year later i just played one comp game where i have 4 clips of shots not registering. I want to personally burn down bungie HQ. FIX YOUR GAME MAN. On top of that ONE game, i have about 45 total from this previous week of trials. Im going to make a compilation and send it to everyone ik plays PvP and i can promise you they will never touch destiny again. Instead of being a money grab, how about they actually listen to players? Immortal got "nerfed" for sure man. Titans got "nerfed" for sure man. On top of the cancer -blam!- pulse meta where everyone sits as far back as the map lets them. I really hope they get their -blam!- together fast otherwise the game will not see another year

Cross play should be optional, not forced like today (whenever cross play off, game look only players who turned off cross play and not players who play on same platform as yourself).
-
Same goes for us PS users to Xbox. The latency is really bad. I can tell without looking if I’m playing an Xbox player.
-
Why does this game no longer show when people are in a stacked team when you click on their names after a match? Its not like I can't tell from the way the matches play but it is kind of strange.

Rift was bad but Scorched on cross play is an absolute mess.

2 RepliesHit Detection was Terrible before Crossplay! Just worse now 🤔
-
Yep cross play needs to go in PvP.
-
I am seeing these hit registration issues on PC as well in the last season.
-
At this point people are just lagging on porpouse to win because there are no consequences bungie just looks away.

I got a clip that displays it beautifully. The game ends, I'm locked up can't move. PlayStation guy takes 3 steps and shoots... 3 full steps and shoots... Huge desync. Seems like I was on the good end tho, since I can only assume I was ahead of them THIS time.

5 RepliesI've seen a lot of this for sure. I play on both PS5 and Xbox Series S, and teleporting/lagging enemies are always on the opposite console as me. However, if I play 10 matches it's probably only going to annoy me in 1 or so.

10 RepliesSome games you are at a disadvantage and it’s been this way since D1. The connection is peer to peer meaning one person in the group is the leader. Sometimes this is good and sometimes bad. They want wins and loses equally at 50% but the last couple seasons, 50% has even been difficult.

1 ReplyAgreed. Cross play in pvp is hot garbage. They should allow us to tuen it off in pvp.

1 ReplyI agree I used a full 6 sword hit on 1 enemy only for them to blast me with a shotgun they where on Xbox

2 RepliesThey'll never fix it because it needs money, staff, and time. I gave my ACC away and started a new one with the promise to myself that I'll never touch crucible again. So far so good :) it's not worth the frustration it causes
