I think y’all need to rethink your process for these items since most people are trying to snag their crafted opulent weapons.
First we have to hope we are blessed enough to get an opulent key, then we have to hope the chest gives us a red boarder version, then we have to hope we can get 5 of them.
Then the whole process of getting kills with them to get them to the rolls we want.
Drop it to 3 needed for crafting unlock, increase red boarder drop rates and opulent key drop rates.
You also need to look into drop rates from legend lost sectors and my god…it took nearly 30 completions of activities across 3 characters before the Toaster catalyst dropped.
I don’t mind a grind but this is ridiculous.

1 ReplyThis is also true for the 2 craftable ones in the dungeon. No lie, I’ve gotten about 15-20 of the linear but 2 fusions and 2 heavy machine guns. It’s ridiculous how many times I’ve done this dungeon to not get 1 redbar for a craftable weapon. Now I can’t solo it so I’m stuck to lfg after lfg to be disappointed over and over and over. Gave up because it’s not worth the effort

you can unlock three different deep sight seasonal upgrades to speed up the process.

5 RepliesIS ARMOR THE ONLY -blam!- THAT DROPS FROM THIS STUPID -blam!- DUNGEON HOLY -blam!- WHAT GARBAGE
-
2 RepliesIt's been a week. I know people want the things right now, but it doesnt work like that. Just cause you want it, doesnt mean the game is going to give it to you. It's only been a week. Between drops and focusing, you will get more than enough red borders to craft all the weapons multiple times. No need to get up in arms about it, just have fun while you play. They will come.
-
No they are fine
-
All ive gotten is beloved. Nothing else. Im already able to craft one. I havent gotten a single drang, austrigner, or mini tool to drop.
-
Yeah the crafting is -blam!-.
-
1 ReplyFocused 7 austringers today and got 1 red boarder. The grind to even be able to focus them was a pain now I have to farm more energy at this rate it’s gonna be 30 hours of play just to be able to craft it.
-
4 RepliesGet opulent focusing unlocked at crown of sorrow then just keep pulling weapons from their everytime you need to empty umbrals been getting my red borders from their now
-
2 RepliesYou guys are still trying to grind red weapon drops? I quit bothering with that garbage a week after WQ. Worst mechanic they've released in Destiny, ever. RNG x RNG x RNG x grind = -blam!- off
-
Don’t plan on getting the pattern for a weapon by just opening chests. Instead open as many chest as you can while mainly trying to rank up to lvl 16. If you haven’t got the weapon pattern by then you can simply use your umbral engrams and focus them and you will get a better chance at getting a red border weapon via the perks on the crown upgrades.

8 RepliesYou People are too entitled. Week one and suddenly everyone just forgets how new content works. If Bungie made it easier, you’d be crying about being able to fly through it in a week. Seriously how long have you played this game? Bungie has made weapons easy to get, and people complain. But when they make weapons an actual grind you people still complain. Seems like people who don’t fully understand this game, has their own image of what they want the game to be. Instead of just playing the game how it is.

Gotta keep that playtime up for the investors my boy

3 RepliesBungie is trying to keep their streamers and the unemployed neckbeards busy. That's literally the trend we are seeing when it comes to the entire development of the game these days. Abysmal drop rates, timegating, fomo everywhere and everything becoming way more difficult than it needs to be for the regular playerbase, also wasted dev resources for higher difficulties constantly, for content that less than 1 % participate in. Streamers were complaining that they run out of content (while playing 24/7 as their full time job, what a surprise) and also that the game is too easy (another surprise, obviously a game that cringe streamers invested 5k+ hours into will eventually be too easy). There you go, this political activists team, excuse me, dev team, is literally only making the game for those elistists groups these days, to keep them busy.

1 ReplyJust have fun playing a game. I see ppl use “farm” or “grind” which is just work. When the game eventually ends do you really want to look back at the hours wasted, essentially working at a game and not enjoying it?
-
I dont have the season pass and i wanted to craft the weapons and holy -blam!- that was the most boring 12 or so hours of my life spent grinding reds.. i didn’t even get the one i wanted till the day after
-
They want to burn its community out just on finding weapons

1 ReplyStay off the Hamster wheel if you’ve got a sprained ankle is about the best solution I can think of. Bungie has made the game what it is. A circle jerk. It’s not changing anytime soon.
-
It’s supposed to be a waste of time until u get the upgrades… typical bungie hamster wheel design
-
3 x RNG blessings just to craft a weapon (that also takes an age to craft, enhanced perks are underwhelming to say the least) Bungie is absolutely hammering that poor hamster!

10 RepliesSeriously? Lol it’s been one week, it’s meant to be a process not something you can get done in a day. It’s already too easy. I have 9 Red Border Austringer’s, 7 Beloved’s, 4 Drang’s, and 2 Mini Mida’s and that’s in one week and 58 OpKeys (according to the tracker in game) less than ONE week and I can craft 2 of the most desired weapons (which I have zero interest in doing lol) so I think it’s pretty easy as long as you’re playing enough. I think the drop rates are pretty good and there is ways to increase your chances, just take it easy and enjoy the game.
-
I burned the first 4 days of the season to craft my Austringer. I've now crafted a second one to test out the perk combinations. I need 1 more red border Beloved, 1 more drang, 5 Hollow Denials, 4 Without Remorse, and a good roll of the new Suros scout. And I only got 2 fusions and the burst linear fusion from the new Dungeon last night. RNG is hit or miss at this point.

Also decrease the chance of armor drop rates which you acquired already(especially class items?), for normal mode at least. It is not fun farming an activity for new weapons and you get 6 class items in a row, this makes you burn out on the new dungeon twice as fast.

2 Replies"working as intended"
