Black screen at tower
Anyone else had this? I haven’t had it until just now, waited 10 minutes before giving up lol

It sucks but open character screen then map and fast travel to the annex it always works

1 ReplyHaving this issue endlessly, including after reboot of game. People say do a fast travel, but I can only pull up my character screen; the map / destinations menu will not come up. Are you saying I've been playing too much destiny and should go outside and touch some grass? Maybe I'll do just that. But whisky first.

2 RepliesBlack screen, after a fast travel to drifter area and returning to banshee I can not see my caracter, after a while the game has crashed. Rebooting the PC not help.

They know about it, but like the sparrow bug, no word on a fix. It's like they abandoned the game.....

This happens to me so much its made the game almost unplayable. Needs fixed asap. Don't really enjoy restarting my game 2 or 3 times just to get to the helm

1 ReplyI found a fix for it You open your character screen and then you press the touch pad (or whatever your equivalent is) and then fast travel to the main area in the tower

Had same issue, loaded annex instead and worked

Just fly into the Annex, works every time.

When the screen goes black I pull up my inventory, switch to the director and fast travel to the tower.

same here - every time I go. so I am going to the other side and land. Seems to be ok. - also the gunsmith keeps kicking us out of the game as soon as we try and interact with him. Then reset the xbox and seems fine again.

If it helps, I have found that flying in to the Peasant's Entrance near Ada and the Snake Guy, I don't have the problem. Of course, you have to run all the way to the real activity department. Also, of course, this won't work now that I've mentioned it!

Fasr travel to the annex or the courtyard it fixes it

when you're at the black screen, open the tower and try to respawn at the main point. You'll see sometimes the game thinks you're somewhere else in the tower, just reload the main spawn, wait a couple of seconds to see if it works, if not try again.

Load in near the drifter. But yeah, it's a problem.

It's not just at the tower. I've had this happen loading into the EDZ, Moon, and during activities. no warning at all. Just a black screen and I'm signing in again so I can select my character. Pretty obnoxious? Hey Bungie, is this tied to the sidearm perk not working?

If that happens, go to your character screen then pull up the director and fast travel to either landing point at the tower and that should work

Yes, I have. Bungie seems to have technical issues more and more as new material is released. ?

I got that and clicked on the landing point near drifter it worked

When this happens, wait a minute then pull up the local map and fast travel to the Annex. I think because they treat the different sections as zones, the lower populated areas load you in better.
