Edited by Illuminary: 5/27/2022 6:48:20 PMUse incendiary grenades since they stack the highest scorch. Everyone loves the new solar but the dot doesn't stack. Use a weapon that rams scorch down their throat like skyburners, jotunn with catalyst, mini tool, or staccato both with incandescent. Once incendiary explodes and everyone is smoking use incinerator snap and they ignite. Whatever is still alive shoot with the weapon to spread scorch. Obviously ignite works better on higher health targets as usually burns and snaps kill red bars.

Ignition is as easy as applying a bunch of scorch. Specc into scorch and use an incandescence weapon.

1 ReplyUse incineration snap. Bonus points for using winters guile. I’ve heard the ignite damage scales off of what activated it. So if you are x5 melee damage with winters guile your ignition will hit like a truck

Edited by WulfPak666: 5/28/2022 4:37:59 AMThe TLDR Warlock's can only do the "ignite" effect on tanky enemies as everything else just straight up dies to the raw DPS of Scorch and the melee/grenade before the Scorch Effect can stack to 100% to trigger the Ignition, which is indicated by a massive AoE burst of yellow damage numbers. Want to test it? Go on your Warlock and use the Fragment that spawns orbs of power when you get Ignition multikills... I'll wait. Now go on your Hunter and do the same thing with the Gunpowder keg that does pure Ignition damage (or weighted knife, as it ignites scorched targets)... You'll make orbs every single time.
The only other way Warlocks can reliable proc and kill someone with Ignition is the Fragment that makes your super do ignitiom damage. While the Finger snap can ignite I find the enemies just straight die to the raw damage and don't actually "ignite" in terms of what the game classifies as an "ignition kill". A lot of people will say "oh ya, I get ignition kills all the time on Warlock" but do you really? If you want to test it, use the Fragment: Ember of Wonder. If you truly get "ignition kills" you should be pooping out orbs of power like crazy. Then, go do it on the Hunter with the new Gunpowder grenade, which does pure Ignition damage. You'll get orbs every single time. The game doesn't count the enemy (or enemies) dying in a ball of fire or the "burning away" animation as an ignition kill. Scorch needs 100 stacks to cause an ignition, The snap does roughly 40, so in order to get an ignition, you need to prime the target with scorch with solar weapons that can and grenades. Ignition can be seen as a yellow number combined with an explosion. An ignition kill is when they have to die from the detonation caused by yellow number that pops up. If they do not specifically die from that yellow number it does NOT count as an ignition kill, especially for the Bounty. Case and point, the Hunter's new Gunpowder grenade causes an explosion that deals "ignition" damage, everything that dies from that explosion counts as an ignition kill since it deals the yellow number as it's damage. The problem I found with the Warlocks, although very good at stacking Scorch, seem to just kill the target outright through raw DPS before the Scorch can build to an ignition. Now if you're doing the bounty in the Leviathan, The earliest way to get ignition kills that I found was use the Scythe to attack the boss. 2 quick attacks and a heavy with trigger an ignition and kill every trash mob enemy with ignition damage. Easier if you use Dawn Chorus and a Scorch weapon like Sky Burner or Prometheus Lenz instead of a grenade. You'll have more control over the enemies HP and Scorch build up. It's like Slow/Freeze. You need 100 stacks of Scorch to cause an ignition. Problem is, scorch by itself does damage over time so more often than not, it'll just kill whatever you're trying to ignite before they "ignite" Sorry for the long post. 😅
I'd say you didn't read your aspects well enough, but it took me a while to actually get it myself.

I’ve completed multiple ignite bounties as solar 3.0 warlock. Perhaps you’re doing something wrong?

only IGNITE is super and only if we have the fragment equipped. cant complete ignite related bounties. and all ignite related fragments Are completely useless FIX THIS
All classes can apply ignite. The warlock specifically can do so with its melee when aimed at a single enemy.

2 RepliesEdited by SoppyBottomBoys: 5/27/2022 3:36:34 AMYou do know Skyburner's oath will do put 5 stacks of Scorch for each shot. Tommy match book, Prometheus lens something.
