Executioner's hoard chests not spawning
I'm trying to complete my Predator of Predators triumph but now Executioner's chests don't spawn after killing them. I've never experienced this issue myself until Season of The Haunted started. I just ran the Witch's Echo trail & confirmed the issue. I've posted a link showing the exact location.

2024-APR-06 - Still bugged. Especially the Miasma one. Chest seems to not show at all. I suspect it's completely out of reach below the floor or behind the wall at the spawn point if it spawns at all.

1 ReplyIf people are still looking for this fix. I can confirm that by July 14th, 2023 it is still bugged. Sort of. The chest Spawns RIGHT under you when you crush the ghost. So what I did to try and fix this. Is Jump up and finish from the air. And the chest will spawn inside the ground and hopefully will let you open it.

I was just having this exact same bug. Killed the wizard a half dozen times, no chest. However, when I killed her mid-air and performed the finisher while in the air, the chest spawned *directly beneath me*. I'm wondering if that's the bug: somehow, the chest spawns immediately beneath you when you kill the wizard, meaning it frequently spawns entirely inside of the ground.

I finally got the chest and finished the Triumph but took 10-11 attempts between successive times it was at Witch's Echo. It finally worked after restarting the game, after 4 or so attempts where the chest didn't spawn. After restarting, I also let the Executioner respawn once before killing her. Not sure if that makes a difference. Not sure if this is supposed to be RNG or not -- but I'd recommend you keep trying.

1 ReplyThis is still bugged as of 8th november 2022. I have killed the witch at the end of the trail 5 times. 5 times no chest spawned. Did the return to orbit trick but no success on any of the occasions. What I notice is that a blue beam will spawn where the chest is supposed to spawn but no chest. Please if there is any actual fix for this let me know, as this is kinda of destroying the game for me.

Why is this still a thing? Went into orbit, did not fix the issue. Restarted the game, still an issue. Get you -blam!- together Bungie

Update: I noticed once when I killed her, the chest spawned... However, it was barely visible inside the floor and was able to loot it. Maybe it generally spawns in the floor and that's why we don't see it? Next time I get this rotation I'll try pulling her away from her spawn and see if that helps.

2 RepliesI'm still having this issue, too. Tried killing this witch about 5 times now, tried restarting the game, restarting Steam, going to orbit, etc. The other two worked for me, but not this one.

I am on PC (Steam) and I can confirm this is happening for me, as well. Specifically the Miasma (Witch's Echo) executioner quest. A non-executioner spawns at the end of the path and upon killing them no chest spawns (contrary to videos of others doing this run).

3 RepliesCan confirm this is also happening with me. A lucent hive witch will spawn in this room or the room before but it is not an executioner. Upon killing the "On the Trail" buff is removed and no chest spawns.
