Black screen when loading into the tower
I'm having several UI issues on XBox now.
The biggest is a black screen when loading into the tower. I can hear ambient noise, but not see anything. Only way out is to either restart or to go to the character screen, then to the destination.
My character model won't load in inventory while in the tower when this happens. I can't preview my gear at all. I can do mods, but I can't see the armor model or my character at all.
When hovering over items in postmaster, I don't see a tooltip if I dismantle a weapon and another weapon comes under my cursor. I have to move the cursor off and back on to get the weapon tooltip.

Bungie is aware of the issue and is investigating a way to fix it. The current workaround to force load yourself into the tower is to open your map (if holding the button to pull out your ghost doesn't work, you can get to it from your inventory by pressing the ghost button as well) and teleport to one of the two fly-in points for the Tower. This should let you load in normally.

It only happens when I select the courtyard, but am not able to pull up the director screen. To get out of it I've just been going to my Xbox home screen and quitting the game just to relaunch it. The only way to successfully load to the tower is to land at the annex and go from there.

Me too. First it was a crash after going to Banshee and now this. Bungle needs to test their updates more carefully before infesting our hardware with bugs.

Same on PC, fixes with having to open map and then fast travel to the same point I'm trying to spawn in on. Absolutely horrid bug, if I hadn't figured out that fix I would've been restarting the game for hours trying to get a spawn to work.

Isnt it great when normal things break on releases lol. I find if I load into the Annex by the drifter i dont have the black screen problem. Also interacting with Banshee froze my series x bad enough to do a hard reset and delete my gamesave.
