"A Guardian Rises" Bugged?
I tried accessing legacy new light stuff in cosmodrome and at a certain point the quest just stops tracking? Like I can't progress through Dock 13 or access anything in the cosmodrome anymore...

I have a friend also who created a whole new character and experienced the same issue.

if your on pc try changing the year on your system time settings to a year ahead of current, this prevents matchmaking and I was able to progress through the cosmodrone as normal.

Edit: I found someone saying to run through the beginning of the quest without attacking anyone, up until the divide when it requires you to progress and it worked, I was also lucky that there wasn’t anyone else with me in the divide so it could have been that too

This is not just this quest, it's all types of quests in the game. I'm stuck on multiple quests myself. Just bought some of the DLC to get back into this game and this is what I'm left with, a buggy game I can't even play 1 campaign mission of. Come on Bungie two days and no updates on this?!

exact same issue, theres currently also 4 other people stuck with me just in my instance alone that arent able to progress, Ive deleted a character twice with no luck fixing it, verified game files/cache etc. have tried zoning in and out to force something to happen but nothing does. Just started playing the game today and have been pretty frustrated not being able to do anything for 2 hours now.

Like I can't progress through Dock 13 or access anything in the cosmodrome anymore...[/quote] It might be a connection issue, I made a new character and couldn’t get through so I waited and it would pop up and say it had to reconnect me to the game server, I tried a few times and eventually I got to the walker tank part and there was no other players around and the quest worked fine, thus I can only assume a connection issue, I hope this helps!
