New warlock solar sucks
You gave everybody our best abilities (healing grenades, the ability to heal without exotics) and then you nerfed well of radiance.
Our "new" ability is Phoenix dive, which we've had since the game launched.
Dawnblade still sucks.
Solar 3.0 makes titans and hunters god tier classes that can buff and heal themselves while also getting better buffs and better new abilities. Warlocks got stiffed. Gonna call is "priests" in promotional material and then give everyone else all our healing abilities while everybody else gets buffed DPS, actually new abilities, and better everything.
Benevolent Dawn is gone, makes Boots of the Assembler worthless.
Just remove warlocks from the game at this point. Why would anyone who knows how the game works actually choose this trash?

Bottom tree was amazing in PvE. Single target DPS with ignition touch and Dawn Chorus, Massive add clear with ignition touch and chained explosion.. They even took away the enhanced tracking, explosions and fire damage boosts from bottom tree dawnblade too. All of it. Gone. Heck you literally have to waste 3 Fragment slots to get the Dawn Blade super to do exact what it did a day ago.. No more benevolent dawn buff for Well... Healing on Warlock is garbage even after Bungie said in the flipping trailer that "Warlock is the strongest healing class" Pfft. My Titan can Heal, keep all his buffs going nonstop. I feel utterly unkillable as the Titan.

I tried it out and immediatelly disliked it. Doesn't feel like a overhaul but a nerf.

Well of Radiance was my one tiny hope for 3.0 It was literally the [i][b]ONLY[/b][/i] super on my Warlock Main I even [i]kinda[/i] liked anymore. It needed a major buff, not a nerf ffs. Rifts were trash last season, not even worth casting most of the time. I am so sick of getting stupid useless gear for Warlocks. Youtube "Solar 3.0 Developer Insight" Today I saw a youtube interview about Solar 3.0 "Developer Insight" and one of the devs said some dumb crap about Warlocks being the "best healers"!!! Watch the video, it is soo bs. Talking about Titans being the "Best at Big Damage", and Hunters are the "Best at Weapon Damage" I am not even kidding!!! These morons said [i]THOSE WORDS.[/i] I am not a healer. This is a frakkin FIRST PERSON SHOOTER, and I am a WARLOCK. If ANY of the classes should have been a 'Fire God' its the WARLOCK! Bungie is utterly clueless. They can take their "Best Healer" idea about Warlocks and file it under [i]"even more proof Bungie has no idea what their players want, and no idea how to do their job".[/i]

My immediate reaction and held opinion after trying it out was it was a straight downgrade. There are simply less options and things you can do as a Warlock than you could do do before, and many of the things we had going for us like Benevolent Dawn and Healing grenades (usable from a damage grenade) are either much harder to proc or gone altogether. There are more things, but it feels much worse. With Void 3.0 they took some stuff away like procing Devour on Grenade hold, but it was so overwhelmingly better, it was tolerable. Solar is not far and away better, and most things are really hurting to be missing.

My only complaint is that killing a target affected by scorch should proc ignite.

The instant I saw the our healing grenade was already we had to choose I was livid. Give it to the other classes, fine. Make them have to choose it, fine. But LEAVE IT IN THE WELL OF RADIANCE TREE. The dawnblad super was a fun ad clear ability and it feels like poop now. Just last season i was running around nuking everything within 10 miles on patrol with a single grenade, now I fling flaming poop. My super doesn't get extra energy on kills anymore, for a -blam!- ad clear super that needed an exotic (Dawn Chorus) to truly shine. Now even with that exotic the entire kit is rubbish.

Warlock main since d1 alpha and I have to agree. Solar 3.0 doesn’t even feel like anything changed. My solar grande has a new animation and now I can snap my fingers and cause explosions. WOOOOOOW WHAT A BUFF. Very underwhelmed with solar and I’m back on the void flow. With the amount of enemies that this season is throwing at us vortex and devour is still the way to go. I think they missed the mark with solar imo

How are people complaining about this? I am getting all my abilities back instantly, spamming grenades, and everything is blowing up. Over and over and over again. This is so insanely fun. It is just as fun if not more fun than void. I am not even kidding. So I am running [b]Helmet - Dawn Chorus[/b] [i]Explosive Wellmaker[/i] [b]Arms[/b] [i]Grenade Kickstart Elemental Ordnance[/i] [b]Chest[/b] [i]Elemental Armaments[/i] [b]Legs[/b] [i]Well of Life[/i] [b]Class Item[/b] [i]Bountiful Wells[/i] [i]Bomber x 2[/i] Icarus Dash + Touch of Flame Ember of Wonder, Torches, Blistering, Solace. For my weapons, I am using an Enyo-D with Well Rounded + [u]Wellspring[/u], MAINLY my crafted Explosive Personality with Feeding Frenzy + One for All to spam around groups to create tons of wells, and Gally. Spamming my grenade launcher, spamming my solar grenade, spamming my melee snap, using my healing rift for bomber, and picking up the hundreds of solar wells all over the place, and I am an absolute machine. This build is so much fun and there are flames literally everywhere. It's just pure destruction.

Honestly the only fun I have on solar lock with this new solar 3.0 is having the enhanced solar nade aspect on and putting on sunbracers, get a melee kill and float around throwing tons of enhanced nades. Something I already could do before hand.

I would rather discard every new 3.0 stuff and play the old solar 2.0 warlock. This is the first season that makes me upset, disappointed and want to quit this game for a while in just one day. Season of Haunted? No, it's Season of Disappointed. "balance can never come at the expense of fun" ? No, both fun and balance are just expense for the "subclass specializations".

13 Replieswarlock solar in general was only ever good for well and now well makes you practically unkillable period dont even need the shield anymore. far as dawnblade goes why would you ever use it? i honestly wanna know its only use is pvp which even then well is still better in many ways. you now have healing grenades which makes warlocks alot more geared toward support solar compared to the others that can spec as buff/damage solar. also warlocks dps class has always been void where its dps is still huge compared to the other 2 classes debuffs/buffing abilities. arc 3.0 will likely be where we get some major dps works for titan and hunter but warlocks already got its 2 reworks and their not as bad as everyone is claiming.

19 RepliesLocks got nerfed hard with the well changes. We are the only solar class with no one shot melee. Benevolent is still there it's just a fragment and works with lumina and boots. Does not work with healing turret. Tested this in game. Well only healing now is going to make it basically worthless not including they nerfed the damage output. So they essentially made bubble Titans the new healer class, because warlocks are definitely not going to be using this solar trash in any high-end content. Not including the well damage resist in healing first super in Crucible can now be like three melee out of the well. The only thing they gave it was immunity to stasis effects.

9 RepliesLOL oh man you need to stop. Seriously what game are you playing? Everyone knows Warlocks are the best class in this game if not the outright strongest. Complaining that Hunters and Titans can now "buff and heal themselves", when you've been able to do that since day 1, seems like you are coming from a place of spite and jealousy and not of balance. Everyone got Suppression last season and Invis too, to name a few. You act like only Warlocks lost unique things in 3.0. Remove them from the game? Just...HAHAHAHA such drama queen copium nonsense.

Solar 3.0 had been out for like 3hours before you made this post based on the time stamp. If you don’t like it so much, play a different game. The destiny community thanks you for leaving and taking this toxic crybaby attitude back to Warzone.
