I was playing crucible and came across this person named (REDACTED). I don't really know how it even got past the bungie name system after they did the whole overhaul getting rid of certain names when cross-play became a thing. I know bungie preaches inclusivity and does not condone any discrimination yet this person can freely name himself whatever they want clearly using the word "gay" in a negative way. I really don't know how you explain a name that's clearly being derogatory to be even getting past the "bad word' filter system. The text chat blurs out things like "-blam!-" so, and I'd say that's a pretty mild word. I hope bungie is able to force people that have names like this to change their bungie name or converting it to the "Guardian0000" system because then they would be contradicting themselves over their own code of conduct. It's been a very long time since this overhaul of names went through so I'd hope bungie is able to do another sweep of these types of names because this player was pretty bad but constantly bagging opponents and intentionally flinching teammates with their "EXPLOSIVE PAYLOAD" perk. I'd really like for the PvP community somehow be more welcoming to newer or returning players because it ruins the mood for the rest of the community.
