On console, hunters are still broken OP in PVP

Hunter jump is too strong, invisibility is too strong, and dodge is too strong. PC I'm sure it doesn't matter nearly as much, but on console with a controller where all of those things intrinsically screw up aiming with a controller it is just too strong. I know this game isn't competitive, but come on man. This is just stupid to persist like this since forever. And while we're at it, sliding is still broken for the same exact reasons. Nerf sliding to have a minimum sprint distance requirement so that people can't just slide around disrupting aim assist because your tick rates are stuck in the stone ages. Perhaps it won't be an issue when the new airborne updates come in.

The game does not need to be purposefully made to feel any worse to appease casuals anymore. It's insane.

      • Dodge has had all of it's pain points for controller players removed, the base jump isn't too strong, you're just on top low of a sensitivity, and Invis is worthless beyond Omni. So yeah... Skill Issue.

Posts like this are the reason people like Mors exist. Please ignore this guy, he does not represent the majority of console players.

        • I agree. Sprinting is really OP too. All my opponents should get locked in place when I scope in on them.

All Hunters know that Hunter jump is a joke. We cannot cover the same distances that Warlocks and Titans can and the hang time makes it ridiculously simple for someone to pick us out of the sky. Want to see where we went to when we jumped? Just raise your head and use your eyes. As for Invis, we do use Invis outside of PvP, you know. The next time an unseen angel rezzes your entire team before it wipes during a Grandmaster Nightfall, you'll have a Hunter to thank. Please stop asking for dumb PvP nerfs for Invis without considering the effect it may have on PvE.

Seems like a controller sensitivity setting issue, it's easier to deal with close players or players you jump over you with a higher sensitivity, I used to always play between 4 and 6... Good for last word or snipping, now with the higher sensitivity options I play at 14, I have a much easier time dealing with fast jumpy players.. changing your sensitivity settings takes awhile to adjust to take your time and find your number.

            • Skill issue. Stop asking for the game to be easier just because you can’t shoot straight. Hunters are the easiest to predict in crucible. Besides, stompees are getting a huge nerf

            • Not trying to start a fight here but this might be user issue, for example i have no issues with Hunters, I have fought them through d1 and continue to fight them through d2, adapting may be recommended(once agian not trying to start anything) Note: I am also a console player.

              • Go stand in your rift and crutch a fusion rifle while using stag and an arc soul. Insane that people think hunters are the most overpowered when other classes can literally give themselves Insta healing (way easier than on hunter) over shields, yet invisibility is the best. That’s total bs. I’m so tired of hearing this garbage. You’re probably mad you can’t kill someone straightlining you with a shotgun from 20 meters and you miss all your shots, so you come to destiny forums to cry about how broken hunters are. Don’t know if you realized, but HUNTERS ARE THE WORST CLASS IN THE GAME FOR PVP.

                • Hello, I'm on console as well and to be honest, ALL creative/clever builds between Hunters, Warlocks and Titans are OP. This is because : 1. I'm older than Yoda 2. My skill/ability as a player is therefore zilch nada 3. I don't really care what happens as long as I have fun Maybe a change of perception leaning towards the fun side of things might help? Just an older fella blowing aliens up online. Cheers!

                • They are still the e z mode crutch class and that probably won't change.

                • User error. Unless paired with exotics invisibility is a joke (pretty much only omnioculus), and even then its niche. It's so easy to see and they already nerfed the radar effectiveness. Hunter jump is good but still easy to track if you are semi competent. Icarus dash even with the nerfs still has better in air movement. Don't get me wrong, Hunters are really good, but not broken. Each class has their benefits

I can guarantee you that if warlocks or titans were given the dodge and hunters the choice of a healing rift or empowering/barricades. You would still complain about that. And in all honesty, the healing rift and barricade are crazy powerful.

                    • In my experience I struggle sometimes against hunters running stompees because of how quickly they can be on the ground one second and super up in the air the next, I only run into that when it's up close since it's harder to make quick sudden movements on controller and on my sens. I don't have much problems tracking a dodging hunter or an invis hunter (especially now that it's has a purple hue and it's not clear/blue, making it difficult to see on bright maps). I have more problems with titans sliding (w/stasis fragment) than I do hunters, even with stompees. Maybe it's not difficult for me because I play hunter and know what to expect from the movement
