Id like some clarification on this, if one plays Mouse and Keyboard on console are you put into the PC pool for pvp?
Ive seen some guys on supposedly ps and Xbox move in a way that only mouse and keyboard can accommodate.

As someone who plays primarily on Stadia over the last 2.5 years I've played against people on M&K before the sensitivity and ADS modifier. For the most part it's not that bad, most m&k user's aren't much different than controller user's in terms of skill. As for the higher end players, they are a pain to deal with. Used to run into a a guy named Time pretty regularly, he had the m&k movement down and unfortunately used a LeMonarch and hand cannon quick swapping build that was extremely toxic. Ran into the guy for a couple of games a few months ago after the controller updates and was able to do much better against him, now if Bungie would finally eliminate the bow/HC quick swapping that would be even better.

4 RepliesMeh, it probably ain't a mouse and keyboard user. It's probably just some kid geeked up on caffeine. And between caffeine and lag how can you tell?
-
3 RepliesNah, they shouldn't be using M&K but its really obvious when they are, but its putting them in the standard console pool
-
8 RepliesNo. You can play mouse and keyboard and you will always be on the Xbox pool if you are on Xbox. My friend has a program where he plays keyboard and mouse on EVERY game on Xbox.
-
9 RepliesYes you can play mouse and keyboard with only console (anyone who does should be banned)
-
It’s against Bungie TOS pretty sure
-
Yea folks that use MnK on console are scum.

Edited by Chunk: 5/20/2022 4:33:07 PMMnk on console does absolutely exist, ( just look it up on YouTube if you require proof ) Bungie does not support mnk on any console nor can they stop it because there is no anti cheat on console, to achieve mnk on console you'll need to purchase a SONY or MICROSOFT approved 3rd party device, there are drawbacks to these devices, they are not PC mnk, ie: tracking and turning speed, are slow, there will be latency and are not a 1to1 pc mnk ratio. There is nothing bungie can do about this, SONY and MICROSOFT allow it.

1 ReplyThat is some really shaky evidence for people being on mouse and keyboard. Also not sure how doing that somehow gives you the PC version of the game on console.
-
Didn’t bungie specifically say that using a keyboard on console will not result in the ability to switch inputs? It was just for text chat. Also, what about frame rates? I’m no expert, but I’m pretty sure it doesn’t take until the turn of the century for PC players to load their inventory.

5 RepliesI know a dude who uses M/K because of missing fingers an he didn't have the cash for the adaptive controller
-
4 RepliesD2 console doesn't natively support mouse and keyboard for game play (you can use it for text chat). The only people that can use mnk on console are through an adapter called a "kronos" (idk if that's how you spell it). The adapter tells the system that the input it's receiving from a keyboard is actually from a controller, which is technically cheating. Because the game can't detect it, ypu stay in console pool.

7 RepliesEdited by King: 5/19/2022 11:29:20 PMSimilarly, why would a PC player use controller? Thank you to everyone who answered!

So here is the deal. Can you play mouse and keyboard on destiny on console? Yes. But you need special gear because Bungie doesn't want you to. You don't get put into matchmaking with PC based on what controls you're using. Officially speaking you can only use controller on console, not by hardware limitations, it's up to each developer if they want to support KBM, Bungie deliberately chose not to. Mod controllers are a thing, and hardware to connect a keyboard and mouse are also a thing. There's nothing meaningful that Bungie can do about it.

1 ReplyI'm a pc M&K player who played on PS4 with a controller until Beyond Light, and I'm just curious -- what do you mean
move in a way that only mouse and keyboard can accommodate
? I know playstyles are generally different on PC, but movement capabilities are a whole other discussion.

Sounds like you're the expert

14 RepliesEdited by J: 5/19/2022 1:45:18 PMno, you didn’t see any console player move like pc lmao devices that allow mnk on Xbox make you turn/180 slower than even a controller
-
Bump up your sence to 20 and ads to 1.0 then fov on 105 and there is almost no difference between mnk. I play on 20 with 0.8 and I’m doing fine game has so much aim assist. Trust me you’re almost never seeing mnk on console even with xim ( device that lest you play with mnk ) the input delay is there and almost not worth investing in. Dr. Lupo made this clear when he played like this in d1 the only reason ppl would invest in this is because modern controllers (scuff/elite) will break down a lot while keyboard wil last a lot longer
-
Nope, they use adaptors that disguise their m&k as a controller to retain controller tier aa/bullet magnetism.
-
Since adapters that allow you to use M&K on Console are not detectable, if you use one of them you will still continue to play on regular lobbies against other players with controllers and/or other adapters and M&K.
-
3 RepliesHow does one play m&k on keyboard? As far as I know keyboard only works for text chat.
-
2 Replieswtf happened to console players? just pathetic af, use fking controller or go to PC, I bet you are even using some "devices" KEKW.
