This feature alone benefits special weapon users by far more than anyone else by allowing fusion rifle users ample time to spin up their shot or shotgun users to line up their shot just to name the most egregious examples. This makes pvp stupidly one sided imo and matches devolve to people just running around one shotting people. Your proposed changes for the upcoming will not be enough to change in any significant way next, that's my bet.

Promotes campy playstyles and could easily result in a peak meta of bows and all the aids that goes with super passive play. People half hate it but I genuinely can’t recall a meta that wasn’t aggressive where people at any point said “yep, this is fun”. Aggressive metas are always more enjoyable in every game I’ve ever played, really don’t want to see us regress again

so you are mad that you don't know how use radar so other people should not have it , lol

Hmm, I like having a radar with my primary, it helps me tell when someone is camping a corner so I can avoid it. I get caught out by people crouching cause the ping takes forever but that's on me.

Edited by piratepatchy243: 5/13/2022 3:44:42 AMDid you forget you have it too, or do you seriously have little situational awareness?

..... knowing and understanding radar is probably one of the most important skills in any fps, I recommend you learn it so you stop letting your team down when they expect you to team shoot with them but your aiming in the wrong direction.

I've always thought it's weird to have the ability to know where people are. Kinda kills some of the fun of being surprised by things. I get that no radar would mean corner campers and other annoying stuff like invis but I do think Crucible, and gunfights in general, would be way more interesting without it.

How can someone take advantage of something every player has access to at all times. It works for and against Special users, if you see your radar ping heavily towards a doorway behind a wall, then its safe to assume that the person sitting round the corner has a close quarters weapon type. Best bet is to reposition and hold a safer angle unless you wanna keep challenging a shotgun/fusion rifle in a confined space which clearly you won't win. Radar has saved my bacon plenty of times where you see it ping with a more intense shade, indicating to me a player is most likely camping extremely close to me or on their way to push me. If anything the radar was the tool that gave me the heads up on this and gave me an opportunity to back up and reposition. Just play to your playstyle and its advantages instead of falling into the trap of another player's playstyle.

Edited by A_mo: 5/13/2022 2:23:26 AMBeing right next to someone that you don't know is there when you would under normal realistic circumstances is just not very enjoyable. And ohk could end up becoming more powerful since people would be able to camp or sneak up on you much easier. One of the reasons its not as much of a problem in Momentum is that primaries kill faster but if they didn't it wouldn't be very fun. Plus if you mixed solos and premade teams it would just be bad. There's also another reason why it shouldn't be the default way to play the game but it sounds too conspiratorial to bother with.

Uh what? And let invisibility hunters roam free as they get free kills? No thanks. The radar ping is probably the best counter to an invis hunter. A hunter that goes invis and stops moving literally disappears. Imagine not having a radar to at the very least get an idea of where they are? Some maps are insanely difficult to see an invis hunter and others are not so bad. Also this will promote camping and slow the game down so bad it will be unplayable. Bungie has removed radar in the past, the results? No one likes it.

Remove sound while you're at it. Footsteps will allow fusions and shotguns time to prefire or line up their shot.
