It's very unlikely that they will since they want it to be treated as an uncharged Guardian melee. Best thing we can hope for is that they'll add a Glaive perk that specifically increases its melee damage, or allow Exotics, subclass perks, and mods that boost your base melee to work on them.

7 RepliesSo being seirous here's the thing I think they fail to understand. Because Glaive generally requires you to be so close to the enemy, so deeply surrounded by enemies, it is an extremely, extremely high risk weapon. And for that intense risk it is relatively low reward. That is a fundamental problem and is going to make the weapon innately unworkable except on very low levels.

If they did it would likely be a rework of the ammo cap and usage. Change glaive melee to use 1 ammo with a hit counting for elemental kill and a shot is 5. Also limit the damage for PvP or it would get out of hand. Likely 2 hits or max of 3 hits for pvp kill.

The melee should work with necrotic grips

1 ReplyIn PvE, whatever. In PvP, -blam!- no lol.
-
1 ReplyIt should also count as kills for that weapon type. (i.e. void, solar, etc)

how about no scott the melee time is to fast and doesn’t use ammo if it used ammo i would say yes

They're too afraid of fun.

I actually think there is another simple change that would make Glaives a more fun and viable option, to allow melee kills to provide a small amount of energy (5%). This would be a change that wouldn't break the game, but promote gameplay where the glaive could be used as a highly offensive weapon swapping between melee and energy attack. Even if this doesn't get a buff, I know I'm going to have some fun with a Devour Warlock using Winter's Guile :)

I am cine with vorpal and frenzy as damage perks not working on melee. But wellspring and demolistionist and such should work with the melee as non damage perks.

Yes, nuff said

And Swashbuckler (on ammo & non ammo melee in PvE)

-
I think so too. Why not?

3 RepliesThe ones that work with melee already do work. Swashbuckler doesn’t add to melee damage is adds to weapon damage. Same with vorpal… it makes sense not to be added to a no energy melee because it never is added to a melee in other circumstances.

4 Repliesim not reading that

6 RepliesGlsive melee is a guardian melee attack, not a weapon attack.
