I have not had a single "fun" pvp match in months.
Literally ability spam everywhere, bow oneshots with stag rift campers, invis spamming hunters, titan overshield spammers, nades everywhere, melee abilities everywhere, oneshot weapons being everything people can play.
And on top of that, the literal worst matchmaking any video game has ever seen. I am trying to chill. In CASUAL QUICKPLAY. In a CASUAL pve looter shooter.
I am not trying to carry 5 blueberries against 4 ESL major champions sweating their **** off every single match. What has this game turned into? I remember when pvp used to play like it's supposed to. A fun, casual sandbox to try out loadouts and have a chill CASUAL frickin time.
Now you need to have a stinky gaming chair and be unemployed while playing the game 24/7 to remotely be able to enjoy it. Favorite game of all time turned into the most frustrating horrible experience that almost made my "Alt and F4" keys wear out when playing within the last few months. Terrible, terrible.

You're just crying cuz your KD has gone down. Yeah, it's not only a Hand Cannon/Shoty META anymore, other things can kill you now.

1 ReplyYeah, for all the emphasis Bungie put into increasing cooldowns on abilities to promote gunplay, they added in too many ways to decrease those cooldowns and it feels like there are more abilities being used than ever. Especially class abilities. A Titan always has their barricade, by the time the first is down they've got it back again. Hunters don't constantly have their dodge, but they can damn near stay invisible until it comes back if they want. I don't play my warlock enough to know how the rift cooldown is, but it seems like they get them pretty quick. It's all ridiculous.

I have fun in pvp when I play with people of similar skill level. When I play with much better players it's like I should just go afk and let them win.

The matchmaking is 100% the problem, as far as I'm concerned.

14 RepliesLmao! Talk about bandwagon cries. First off from just looking at your recent games you won more than half of those games. You also scored well in all of them even the games you lost. So what you are actually crying about is you didn’t get free wins handed to you and actually had to play the game. You won with out carrying your team, you won with average skill and scores meaning you didn’t even need to try all that hard. Crying about guns and ability spam is silly because you also take advantage of good equipment and abilities. Worse match making ever? Why because you were not the best in every game you played? If you are not having fun then that’s on you. I’m not a super amazing pvp player but I have a ton of fun wether I win or lose. You obviously need to win every game in order to have fun and that’s just pathetic.

It’s more concerning that you’ve done something for months that you don’t find fun. I can understand trying now and then hoping the game gets better but honestly from the sound of your post you need a break.

I had a really fun game tonight after drinking half a bottle of rum. Destroyed these kids and sent them back to Gambit labs.

Edit: lol, it censored a synonym for “terrible” starts with a h ends with and s. I can guess why but that’s so stupid.

I say entitled because they’ve expressed that certain elements of matchmaking is bad because they can’t carry, therefore insinuating a change needs to be made because they’re entitled to carry under easy pressure

Maybe don't play so much crucible? That's how you burn yourself out. You've got 9 resets for crucible but not a single vanguard or gambit reset. Half of what your complaining about is already being addressed next season. If you want strictly gunplay then either play team scorched or go play a game like COD or Halo, but even then half of those games is just spamming grenades (which are basically their version of abilities)

Update Comp with rewards and rank that matters. Put the modes back into the playlists instead of separating them as individual playlists. This would allow players to vote on the maps and modes collectively with a wider audience of players. Make teams face each other.

Changes to special weapon ammo can’t come quick enough…my last 2 matches were telesto heavy spam. I’ve been in matches where everyone has a dam witherhoard

I agree and heavy should only spawn halfway through the match and only once. I cant take much more getting killed by a rocket launcher 50 seconds into a match. Watch out for the get gud comments because they cant have you ruin matchmaking for them . pvp is in a bad place right now. Not fun at all.
